The footswitch of the Constellation vision system controls functional operations and has several parts: a handle, treadle, and horizontal/vertical and heel switches on the right and left sides. The treadle controls a parameter like vacuum proportionally based on depression. The switches control functions like infusion, cut, vacuum, diathermy, and reflux. It also navigates between steps during phacoemulsification.
