Methodology
o Data Collection: Gather data on food spoilage indicators, such as
temperature, humidity, and shelf life, using appropriate sensors.
o Data Analysis: Employ machine learning and data analytics to
identify patterns and early signs of spoilage.
o Alert System: Develop a real-time alert system to notify
consumers or businesses when spoilage is detected.
o Hardware Integration: Integrate sensors and microcontrollers, like
Arduino, into the project for data collection and analysis.
o Software Development: Create user-friendly interfaces and
applications for consumers and businesses to access spoilage
data.
Methodology
 Arduino Board: The central unit for data collection, processing and
alerts.
Temperature Sensor: Measures temperature changes in the food
product. DHT11 / 22 Sensors.

Working Procedure:
Step 1: Sensor Installation- Firstly we need to add the sensors with our Arduino
Board.
Step 2: Data Collection – The Sensors continuously collect data. The
Temperature sensor provides environmental data, while the methane gas
sensor monitors gas concentrations.
Step 3: Data Processing – The arduino Uno board processed the Data after
collecting from the sensors.
Methodology
Working Procedure:
Step 4: Alert System - The alert system can include turning on a red LED,
activating a buzzer, and sending a notification and alert to the user. So,

Food Technology and Safety
This project primarily falls within the domain of food technology
and safety, addressing issues related to food spoilage, freshness, and
safety. The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized various
industries, including the realm of food technology and safety. In this
project, we aim to harness the power of IoT and Arduino to create a
system that detects and monitors various aspects of food, ensuring its
quality and safety throughout the supply chain. IoT-enabled sensors
and Arduino microcontrollers will play a pivotal role in achieving this
objective.
Conclusion
 Enhanced Food Safety: The system contributes to improved food safety by detecting
spoilage early, reducing health risks.
 Sustainability Impact: It helps combat food waste, promoting sustainability and
minimizing the environmental footprint.
 Cost Savings: Businesses and consumers benefit from cost savings by reducing food
losses due to spoilage.

Objective • Enhance Food Safety: Ensure that consumers have access to safe and fresh food products. • Cut Costs: Save consumers and businesses money by preventing food loss and spoilage. • Utilize Technology: Leverage advanced sensors and data analysis to detect spoilage in real time. Reduce Food Waste: Minimize food spoilage and wastage, contributing to a more sustainable food supply chain.

Methodology o Data Collection: Gather data on food spoilage indicators, such as temperature, humidity, and shelf life, using appropriate sensors. o Data Analysis: Employ machine learning and data analytics to identify patterns and early signs of spoilage. o Alert System: Develop a real-time alert system to notify consumers or businesses when spoilage is detected. o Hardware Integration: Integrate sensors and microcontrollers, like Arduino, into the project for data collection and analysis. o Software Development: Create user-friendly interfaces and applications for consumers and businesses to access spoilage data.

  • 8. Methodology Working Procedure: Step 1: Sensor Installation- Firstly we need to add the sensors with our Arduino Board. Step 2: Data Collection – The Sensors continuously collect data. The Temperature sensor provides environmental data, while the methane gas sensor monitors gas concentrations. Step 3: Data Processing – The arduino Uno board processed the Data after collecting from the sensors.
  • 9. Methodology Working Procedure: Step 4: Alert System - The alert system can include turning on a red LED, activating a buzzer, and sending a notification and alert to the user. So,
  • 10. Domain Area Food Technology and Safety This project primarily falls within the domain of food technology and safety, addressing issues related to food spoilage, freshness, and safety. The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized various industries, including the realm of food technology and safety. In this project, we aim to harness the power of IoT and Arduino to create a system that detects and monitors various aspects of food, ensuring its quality and safety throughout the supply chain. IoT-enabled sensors and Arduino microcontrollers will play a pivotal role in achieving this objective.
