PROBLEM
Deforestation has been a significant problem in our environmental
system in the world. The loss of trees can cause climate change,
desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased
greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and many problems for
indigenous people. Illegal logging is also one of the major causes
why deforestation continues to happen and still hasn't stopped until
now.
For the reason stated, the researchers create an efficient device
for the protection and surveillance of our forest—our environment.
Particularly, to avoid illegal activities and respond to natural
calamities through the said device. With this invention, researchers
seek to protect the natural resources, the habitat, the ecosystem—
maintaining the environmental resources in durable situations.
STATEMENT OF THE
PROBLEM
GENERAL:
This study aims to answer the questions of how this device can
contribute to our specific problem, protecting the mother nature by
monitoring and locating illegal activities such as the practice of illegal
logging, maintaining nature in a good situation, and controlling the
cutting of the trees.
SPECIFIC:
1. What are the designs of Environment Forestry Monitoring and
Protection System along:
a.) Software
b.) Hardware
2. What is the level of effectiveness of Environment Forestry
Monitoring and Protection System through the use of sensor
detection and wireless camera in in terms of functionality,
structure/design, and safety measures of the device?
3. Is there a significant difference in different sensors like Smoke
Sensor, Flex Sensor, Temperature Sensor, and Vibration Sensor in
terms of stability of the Environment Forestry Monitoring and Protection
System?
4. What is the relationship of the Vibration Sensor of Environment
Forestry Monitoring and Protection System in Flex Sensor?
5. What is the propose intervention of smoke and temperature sensors
in the monitoring system as an effective core tool for finding and
detecting illegal activities in the forest?

METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH DESIGN
A quantitative research design in the form of an experimental design was
used in this study. This design was used in the study to assess the device’s
overall effectiveness. It was utilized to offer more information in order to
better understand a specific occurrence and to test the overall precision of
the Project SDWC Environmental Monitoring System and to evaluate
whether or not the system has met the criteria. The conductors used tables to
gather information about the performance of Temperature sensor, Flex
sensor, Smoke sensor and Vibration sensor. The gathered data was also
compiled and analyzed by the researchers to make a conclusion.

The data was collected using a scale and checklist to assess
the device’s effectiveness in terms of functionality,
structure/design, and system safety measures. Also, the
researchers used T-test, ANOVA and C-test to test the
effectiveness of Environment Forestry Monitoring and
Protection System Through the use of Sensor Detection and
Wireless Camera in terms of efficiency. The data collected
are through survey and interview.
