Plastic bags Paper bags
Lightweight Six to ten times heavier
Easy to transport because of
it’s lightweight
Require more transport
because it is heavy
Most bags are now
biodegradable or recyclable
takes up more space in
landfills if it was not recycled
Paper bags cost lot of many in
industry
Related to paper the plastic
doesn't cost lots

Easy Shopping
Our project is a mobile application that helps
customers specially blind people to find any
product in the supermarket easily and provide
information such as price of the desired
product.
Easy Shopping
Hypothesis:
We thought that if we make an application
that leads blind people to the products they
want inside a supermarket and add a braille
writing to the products for them to double
check it would be a great and successful idea.
Easy Shopping
Methods and Materials
• Scanning barcode at entrance of the supermarket.
• The application will open and the customer will tell the phone
what he needs using voice command.
• The application will provide him information about the product
such as the price and then it will guide him to the product
• The customer will check if he has the right product using braille
writings on the package.
Method:
Materials used:
Software: App machine
Hardware: mobile + laptop
Adding braille writing on products
Easy Shopping
Results and Benefits :
• - It increases the sales profit.
• - It makes shopping easier for blind people.
• - It helps the market attract more customers.
Easy shopping
Recommendations:
• -We recommend applying our project in supermarkets
and we hope that the sponsors adopt and improve our
project.
• -We recommend using Braille writing on all food
packages.
Conclusion
We learnt a lot of new information about
different food packages and the use of them
from Al-Bairaq and it helped Us to improve our
teamwork skills and How to create and invent.
Acknowledgment
Many thanks to my teachers, school and AL-Bairaq team from
Center for Advanced Materials (CAM), Qatar University for
supporting us during our journey with a AL-Bairaq.
Also, I would like to thank the partners UNESCO, Qatar National
Commission and the gold sponsors Ras Gas, Maersk oil and the
silver sponsor Shell.
