INDONESIAN CULLINARY
Food & culture
Traditional foods are foods and beverages commonly consumed by
a given society, with the distinctive flavor that is accepted by the
community. For the people of Indonesia generally quite believed
the efficacy, various traditional foods, such as tempeh, tofu, garlic,
honey, ginger, gado-gado, green beans, fish, ground fish etc.
Because in addition to efficacy, traditional Indonesian food also
contain other positive aspects such as: ingredients are natural,
nutritious, healthy and safe, cheap and easy to obtain, according
to the tastes of the people that is believed to have good potential
as food
INTRODUCTION
Traditional Indonesian food is all kinds of processed foods native to
Indonesia, regional specialties, ranging from a full meal, distraction
and drinks, enough nutritional content, as well as the usual
consumed by the local community
• Conditions involving all the relevant human
life (creativity, taste and intention) in the
environment and change according to the
changing times.
• The word culture, derived from the Sanskrit
word buddhayah, the plural form of buddhi
which means "honor" or "eternal".
• (Koentjaraningrat. 2003: 73) According to
the culture of BAKKER word "Abhyudaya",
the Sanskrit word "Abhyudaya" in Sanskrit
Dictionary (Macdonell, 1954): good results,
progress, prosperity paced complete.

Materials which if consumed can meet the
needs for health, enjoyment and satisfaction

in accordance with the procedures and how

Behavior is a result of various factors in life that
involves attitudes and views (in this case about
the food) is considered appropriate for
themselves and feel comfortable to live
