This study documented traditional medicinal plant knowledge of tribes in West Bengal, India. Field studies from 1998-2001, 2011-2013, and 2014-2016 documented plants used by tribes as treatments for diseases, as antifertility elements, and for other purposes. Many sites, including Alipurduar and Cooch Behar, contained ethnomedicinal plants with multiple uses. The study provides documentation of traditional knowledge that is important for conservation and database preparation.

Relation between plants and cultures is indispensable. The link between culture and plant resources was explored first time for the Basikhel tribe of Tor Ghar District. This tribe is one of the largest tribe of District Tor Ghar. It has long established tribal culture. The study was conducted during the years 2012 and 2013. The information was gathered from 200 informants from 15 randomly selected villages. Data was obtained through semi structured interviews, group discussions and EPA. The local people use 250 species of the vascular plants belonging to 90 families for 23 different cultural uses such as food, fodder, timber, fuel wood, medicine, furniture and agricultural implements. The inhabitants of the area are highly dependent on local flora for their different cultural needs. Total of 150 species belonging to 50 families were documented for the medicinal uses. Informant consensus showed that wound healing and gastrointestinal treatment were ranked highest among all medicinal uses. For each plant its botanical name, family name, local names and conservation status was also recorded. Three species were found most threatened. This study is a part of an ongoing research project in which we will explore plant resources utilized by five different tribes of the District Tor Ghar in the near future.

Since, the medicinal plants are very important for the production of various drugs because thousands of years ago, these plants are used by our forefathers for the treatment of various diseases. Therefore, now a day, these medicinal plants are used for the production of various drugs as well as to cure various diseases. Though there are a good number of publications on ethnobotany on particular and different tribes but the present studies were carried out to explore the vascular plant diversity and investigate the ethnomedicinal potential and their conservation status in the villages of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, India. In this research survey, only medicinal plant, their local names and their medicinal uses were interviewed and presented. The information was obtained from local informant i.e. Vaidhays, Hakeems and Ayurvedic Practitioners etc. having knowledge about medicinal plants. The paper deals about some medicinal plants used by the Bheel primitive tribe of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The paper enumerates 25 medicinal plant species belonging to eighteen families used by Bheel tribes for curing various ailments among human beings and animals.

An ethnobotanical survey for the wild medicinal plants in the central high mountains extending from northern to central Jordan has been carried out. A special questionnaire is prepared to test for the medicinal uses of the local wild medicinal plants in the study area. The information such as the Arabic local name, parts used for medication, methods of preparation, purpose of use, doses and any other remarks, were all collected from direct contact visits to local people by the researchers of this study. The total numbers of recorded species in all the study sites are 108 species belonging to 33 families. The families Asteraceae and Lamiaceae have recorded the highest species of medicinal plants. A number of 25 plants species were found to be more frequently used by the local people in the studied areas, 38 species were found to be used more occasionally than the remaining 22 species. Visits for the available herbalist’s shops in the study area were made for all the sites of the study area. The age range of the questioned sample of the people who were interviewed was ranging between 40-65- years old. It is learned from the study that the use of wild medicinal plants is highly recommended and still practiced by the majority of local people in the study area. It has been observed that the study area is very rich in medicinal plants, where some species are becoming degraded and over cultivated. The knowledge of using wild herbs in traditional folk medicine is basically more common among the elderly rather than the young generation in most of the visited domestic areas. However, the use of medicinal plants by the locals are causing great declining of the diversity of many plant species growing in all sites visited by the authors.

on medicinal plants. A total of 25 plant species belonging to 16 families were
documented. The local inhabitants identified the plants on the basis of local name,
plant parts used and ailments treated. Leaves were found to be the most commonly

Study on 10 Medicinal Plants in Sundarban Region, West Bengal, India
Modern approaches of ethnobotanical studies on various medicinal plants in Sundarban region are to
create awareness among the locality along with all over India. The aim of the studies of medicinal plants
will focus the cause and the help of treatment diseases. The investigation deals about 10 medicinal plants
which are used by local people throughout the Sundarban region. Ethnomedicinal plants information were
taken by the interview of ojha and local old villagers throughout the study period. In various villages of
this region, it is found that ethnobotanical medicinal plants are used to treat common problems (such as
injuries, stomachache, abdominal disorder, and skin problem). By the field visits and knowledge gather
from the villagers, the study is done to motivate further research on medicinal plants which may lead to
discovery of novel drugs in the fields of research and development study.
Ethnomedical investigation on herbal drugs used in dang district of nepal
This document summarizes an ethnomedical study conducted in Dang district of Nepal. 92 informants were interviewed to document traditional medicinal plant use. 141 plant species belonging to 63 families were recorded. The plants were used to treat various diseases, with the most common plant parts being stem/bark and fruits/seeds. Traditional beliefs and fewer side effects were main motivations for using herbal medicines. Most preparations were taken orally as juice, powder or paste. The study found that traditional knowledge of medicinal plants was higher among older people and is gradually being lost.

The present article reflects 30 important medicinal plant species of Southwest Bengal, India with their botany, medicinal uses and ecological perspectives in brief. Plants were collected from home gardens, forests, wasteland, shrubbery and other places of ecological importance in the study sites. It covers phenology of plants and plantation treatment of propagules during nursery preparations. It would help the researchers better to use this work as a model to generate data from natural sites to plan the habitat management and to generate conservation strategies. Due to the diversity of different tribal communities, traditional healers of different groups are found in this area. Medicinal importances of different plants were recorded after conducting interview with traditional healers, old man, women of different tribal communities of the area. The traditional medicinal uses of 50 plants species belonging to 38 families are reported in my study.

Semi-structured interviews with local people revealed medicinal uses of plants for ailments like digestive issues, kidney problems, and diabetes. The survey found that most plants were in vegetative growth stages, and knowledge of medicinal plants was lacking among local residents. The present article reflects 30 important medicinal plant species of Southwest Bengal, India with their botany, medicinal uses and ecological perspectives in brief. Plants were collected from home gardens, forests, wasteland, shrubbery and other places of ecological importance in the study sites. It covers phenology of plants and plantation treatment of propagules during nursery preparations. It would help the researchers better to use this work as a model to generate data from natural sites to plan the habitat management and to generate conservation strategies. GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS result from the ingestion of pathogens that cause infections at the level of this tract, generally being transmitted by food, water and hands contaminated by microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Rotavirus among others that are generally contained in feces, thus configuring a FECAL-ORAL type of transmission.
Among the factors that lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections are the hygienic and sanitary deficiencies that characterize our markets and other places where raw or cooked food is sold, poor environmental sanitation in communities, deficiencies in water treatment (or in the process of its plumbing), risky hygienic-sanitary habits (not washing hands after major and/or minor needs), among others.
These are generally consequences (signs and symptoms) resulting from gastrointestinal infections: diarrhea, vomiting, fever and malaise, among others.
The treatment consists of replacing lost liquids and electrolytes (drinking drinking water and other recommended liquids, including consumption of juicy fruits such as papayas, apples, pears, among others that contain water in their composition).
To prevent this, it is necessary to promote health education, improve the hygienic-sanitary conditions of markets and communities in general as a way of promoting, preserving and prolonging PUBLIC HEALTH.
Gastritis and Gastric Health
Gastric Health is one of the most relevant concerns in human health, with gastrointestinal infections being among the main illnesses that affect humans.
Among gastric problems, we have GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCERS as the main public health problems. Gastritis and gastric ulcers normally result from inflammation and corrosion of the walls of the stomach (gastric mucosa) and are generally associated (caused) by the bacterium Helicobacter pylor, which, according to the literature, this bacterium settles on these walls (of the stomach) and starts to release urease that ends up altering the normal pH of the stomach (acid), which leads to inflammation and corrosion of the mucous membranes and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
In addition to bacterial infections, gastritis and gastric ulcers are associated with several factors, with emphasis on prolonged fasting, chemical substances including drugs, alcohol, foods with strong seasonings including chilli, which ends up causing inflammation of the stomach walls and/or corrosion. of the same, resulting in the appearance of wounds and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.

MATERIAL AND METHOD: Field studies leading to ethnomedicinal findings were conducted during the periods of May 1998 to January 2001, March 2011 to February 2013, December 2014 to May 2016. RESULT AND DISCUSSION: All the sites gifted the botanists with immense number of medicinal plants. During the survey, it was found that wild medicinal plants were used were used by the tribal people as antifertility elements and in other purposes to cure different types of diseases. The recorded plants were used for the formation of different types of ethnomedicinal preparations. Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Bankura and many others gifted us with some ethnomedicinal plants having multipurpose uses. CONCLUSION: The present investigation provides documentation, conservation and preparation of databases of traditional knowledge which are now a much needed in-depth study of ethnobotany.
