This document outlines the pre-production planning for a photography project, including style sheets, layout designs, equipment and resource needs, contingency planning, and health and safety considerations. It details the various visual design elements that will be created, the camera gear, locations, props, and costumes required. Potential issues that may arise during production are identified along with proposed solutions, such as using alternative computer systems or file storage if home computers are incompatible. Health and safety risks from overuse of equipment, trips and falls, theft on location, eye strain from lighting, and electric shocks are also listed along with preventative measures like taking regular breaks, keeping areas uncluttered, choosing safe filming locations, and avoiding damaged electrical equipment or water

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
13. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
If my home computer doesn't’t have Adobe Photoshop or any
program similar I won’t be able to do any other other than at
college. This makes the production harder as I cant work at
home.
When it comes to working from home and improving my
product and PowerPoints I will have to check to make sure
they’re running on the same program. If not I shall have to do
these improvements from college in my free days and half days.
My home computer may run on a different operating system.
for example I may be running on Windows however the
computers at college may be running in OS. This can cause a
problem as I might not be able to work from home
Yet again if it happens that I have to work from home I will
make sure both computers run on the same operating system
or that the files are cross compatible from OS to Windows. If
they’re not I shall have to do this in my free and half days.
When transporting my date from college to home the files may
become corrupted due to the memory pen or some other
reason. This makes life a lot harder if I don’t have a saved copy
elsewhere.
When it comes to transporting my date from college to home I
shall make sure I have a most recent copy at both college and
home so that if any become corrupted or broken I will still have
a recent save and not have lost all my work.
When it comes to finding and sourcing the images I intend to
use for my final project I may come across pixelated, blurry or
broken images. This can be annoying as I have to find or take a
replacement image.
When I start taking my images and find them online I shall make
sure that the exposure, contrast and ISO are all set correctly so
that they images are as good quality as possible. I will also
experiment with the images in Photoshop and print them out to
see the overall quality when completed.
Furthermore I might also struggle to find or take appropriate
and relevant images for my product subject or genre.
Furthermore for making the images relevant to them genre and
theme of the magazine I will mostly be taking my own images
to guarantee that they’re all relevant to the magazine.
Microsoft Office mat not be accessible from either my home
computer or another pc so I will not be able to improve or work
on my work else where other than college. Furthermore if they
do have Microsoft office it may be on older version and not
necessarily work with my PowerPoints.
If Microsoft Office is unavailable at home I will have to either
use the online version or wait till I'm next at college. I will have
to come in on my free and half days to get as much work done
as possible.
14. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Potential Health and safety issues may occur during production.
For example repetitive strain injury. RSI is the pain felt in
muscles, nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement
and overuse. This can occur during extensive use on the
computer.
To avoid this from happening make sure to make regular breaks
often throughout the work day.
Another health issue from overuse of the computer is
asthenopia. This is eye strain that can cause fatigue pain in or
around the eyes, blurred vision, headache, and occasional
double vision.
To avoid this from happening make sure to make regular breaks
often throughout the work day.
Accident like trips, slips and falls while using the camera and
lightening equipment.
Keep the floors clear and accessible, no food or drinks(except
water) if you do find the floor is a messy stake, clean it up.
When it comes to filming on location, you could be targeted by
thief’s and be robbed. Furthermore, you could also lose your
equipment.
Make sure you’re looking for a location for filming that you’re
filming in a safe environment and that you keep shard eye on
your surrounding and your equipment.
When filming in the studio, your eyes can become irritated by
the bright light.
Don’t focus on the bright eyes and make sure to keep taking
breaker throughout the shooting. When not shooting, turn the
room light on and don’t use the projector lights.
You could get an electric shock from Electrical equipment,
extension/Data cables and plugs that aren't plugged in properly
or near a water source.
Do not touch any wired or sockets that look damaged, broken
or wet.
