This document describes the sexual reproduction process in plants. It involves the union of male and female gametes through pollination, fertilization, and germination. Pollen from the stamen of one flower is transferred to the pistil of another flower during pollination. Upon joining of the pollen and ovule in the ovary, fertilization occurs forming seeds. Under suitable ground conditions, the seeds will germinate and grow into new plants.
