Florence and the Machine is an indie rock band formed in London, England in 2007 led by singer Florence Welch. The band's music has been praised for its dramatic production combining elements of rock and soul. Their debut album Lungs was a commercial success and their subsequent albums Ceremonials and How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful also debuted at number one on charts in multiple countries. In 2015, Florence and the Machine became the first British female act to headline Glastonbury Festival in over 20 years.
