Invite parents to come to the
campus to view technology
projects students have created.
Have a day where you invite
parents to learn a new skill.
Provide child care if you can.
Plan enough instruction to
allow them to create something.
Hold “Technology Days” for Parents
9. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Hold contests between classes or for
teachers who regularly integrate
technology.
Prizes could be something as small
as a lottery ticket or work with the
campus principals for a "jeans day"
pass.
Ask local businesses for coupons.
Have Contests Regularly
11. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Get a few teachers and classes
on board to try new technology
tools that come out.
They can be the first ones to try
it and explore its capabilities.
Develop a “Techie Tribe”
13. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Work with your Regional Service

highlight great things your campus is
doing, either at local events or
conferences.
Work with businesses in the
community to hang up or highlight
technology projects the students are
creating.
Work with Organizations & Businesses

Reward those teachers who come to
training. Give them a badge or a
certificate.
Get a small door prize and have a
drawing. Door prizes could be
anything from candy to a "free duty"
pass.
Provide some snacks during the training.
Reward Those Who Come
17. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Create a regular, professional
looking publication.
Send it to teachers, staff,
community members.
This is a great way to spread
the word about the great things
happening on your campus.
Create and Send Newsletters
19. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Develop a place on campus where
teachers can go to learn about
technology.
This could be a place where they go to
get training or read technology-related
magazines, like the Tech Edge.
Invest in a few books that teachers could
check out or set up stations to listen to
podcasts.
Develop a Tech Center
21. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Create posters or infographics that
promote technology use on
campus.
Hang them on walls, in teacher's
lounges, or in bathroom stalls.
Share them with community
members.
Create Posters or Infographics
23. dbenner.org | dbenner@tcea.org | @diben
Create a place where teachers
and students can video tape
themselves where interviews
can be conducted about
technology use on campus.
Place the videos on the campus
website.
Create a Video Production Studio
