2. Scene 1: The Bible tells us that “all of us have
sinned and fallen short of God’s glory” (Romans
3:23 CEV). At times we all do things that are
wrong or hurtful or that make God sad.
God knew that we could never be perfect, and
so He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to show us His
love and forgiveness. “In this the love of God was
manifested toward us, that God has sent His only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live
through Him” (1 John 4:9 NKJV).
Scene 2: Jesus wants to be a part of our
lives. He knocks on the door of our hearts and
asks if He can enter. He wants to live within us
so that we can be closer to God like He is.
“Look! I have been standing at the door, and
I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me
calling him and opens the door, I will come
in and fellowship with him and he with me”
(Revelation 3:20 TLB).
Scene 3: We need Jesus’ help in our lives.
We need His forgiveness for the wrong that we
do. When Jesus came to earth and died for us,
He did it so that we could receive God’s gift of
eternal life and salvation.
“…the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Scene 4: When we admit that we have done wrong and ask God for His
help, then He can do the work in our hearts to make us more like Him.
Jesus wants to be our friend and helper.
“But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do
this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong
things we have done” (1 John 1:9 ERV).
Scene 5: When we ask Jesus to be a part of our lives, then He draws near to
us. He fills our lives and heart with goodness.
Through Jesus we come to know God’s love for us better. Jesus is with us
always. His love is in us, and He is always there to help us when we need Him.
God’s love never fails. “For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never
abandon you’” (Hebrews 13:5 NLT).
