CamelTrain™ is the world’s first all-membrane-based portable water purification system on the market. CamelTrain™ units produce up to 600 gph (2,271lph) of microbiologically clean water, all from a unit about the size of a piece of luggage. Additionally, they can stack and connect with the CamelTrain™ “P” to produce near reverse osmosis quality water

• The original idea came from Nimon Bondurant
watching a portable car wash.
• He determined it would be more efficient to
purify and reuse the water than let it go down
into the sewers.
• The goal was to come up with a portable device
that required very little, if any, maintenance.
How Did We Get Involved?
• Once the unit was completed, Nimon
found it was capable of producing
microbiologically clean water and near
reverse osmosis (RO) quality water. Shortly
after this discovery, Nimon read and was
inspired by the “Sick Water” report from
UN-HABITAT.

What Is Different About Our Technology?
• Our technology exceeds the capabilities of traditional water cleaning technologies in many ways.
Competitive Advantage
• The CamelTrain™ produces clean, microbiologically safe water between 590 and 600 gallons per
hour. RO systems of comparable size produce approximately 100 gallons of water per hour.
vs Reverse Osmosis
• The CamelTrain™ can remove virtually all harmful viruses, bacteria, and heavy metals regardless of
the turbidity (cloudiness) of the water. UV light will not work in turbid water, nor remove particles,
colloids, or ions.
vs Ultraviolet (UV) Light
• The CamelTrain™ places a physical barrier of microscopic pores to stop biologicals and inorganic
materials. Carbon (charcoal)-based filtering, which relies on absorption (not blocking), is not good
at removing chemicals that are not attracted to carbon (e.g., sodium, nitrates, heavy metals), has a
short service life, is not effective against some pathogenic bacteria and viruses, and can harbor
bacteria, which can lead to bacterial grow-through.
vs Carbon (Charcoal)

Current Market for the Technology
• All industry experts agree that the RO water purifiers segment dominated the market during 2016,
with a market share of 47% to 63%. The efficiency of the RO technology in eliminating water
contaminants compared to gravity-based and UV water purifiers is a major driver of RO water
purifiers. Unlike other variants, RO water purifiers successfully deal with microorganisms by destroying
their cells along with eliminating turbidity.
• According to industry experts, nanofiltration (NF) technologies will gain significant traction soon.
• RO membranes are fine enough to retain organics. However, the energy cost of RO is high due to the
simultaneous retention of salt. This gives RO high-operating costs, because water transport across the
membrane has to overcome the osmotic pressure as salinity increases on the concentrate side. Unless
salt removal is the primary goal — one example would be for a seawater feed or a brackish water
source — then RO is likely to be too energy intensive for general water treatment purposes.
• NF offers the promise of removing organics without a significant reduction of ionic species, thereby
meeting important water quality targets that are developing in the water industry.

Market Valuation
• According to Helmut Kaiser Consultancy, the market for water purification, water disinfection, and
securing water quality is growing worldwide between 8% and 25% depending on the sector, branch,
and country. The current value of this market is $US20 billion. (5)
• Allied Market Research, in their new report titled, “World Water Purifier Market,” estimated that the
world water purifier market is expected to garner $45.3 billion by 2022, registering a CAGR of 10.4%
during 2016 to 2022.
Global Water Purifier Market, by End User
• Based on end user, the market is categorized into commercial and residential users. The world water
purifier market is anticipated to witness a rapid growth in the residential segment because of rising
health concerns among households.
• Residential users accounted for the largest share, i.e., 78% of the overall market in 2015. Moreover,
the segment would witness prominent growth in developing countries such as China and India in
the coming years, owing to increasing scarcity of clean drinking water and increasing awareness
toward health and hygiene.

Resume
• According to different research studies, the global water purifier market is currently estimated from $US20
billion to $US50 billion. Such huge variation is caused by different methodologies, indicators, and criteria
used during these studies.
• It will grow between 8% and 25% depending on the sector, branch, and country in the next 5 to 7 years.
• Key drivers of such growth will be the need for clean water in every part of the world due to the rapid
pace of urbanization and relentless population increase.
• RO purifiers dominated the market during 2015 to 2016, with a market share of 47% to 63%.
• In the near future, it will continue to dominate the market; however, other technologies, especially NF
ones, will gain significant traction too.
• APAC accounted for close to 70% of the market share during 2015 and is likely to grow at a CAGR of over
11.4% to 17% in next five years, mainly due to huge growth in China and India — key markets in the
region.
• New product development, deteriorating quality of water, and rising demand from developing economies
are key trends that will have the most impact on sector dynamics in the near future.
