it fits into the brief.
Page number
Slug lines – allows whoever is ready the script (actors, director,
etc.) where the scene is set at. This involves if its inside or
outside, where and if its day or night.
Characters first appearance – formatted by having the name of the
characters in capital letter. Formatted like this so that it is easily shown
what character is doing what and that the main people like the actor,
producers and directors know what is happening with that character and
also what their dialogue is.
The names of characters speaking are in the middle of the page and are
in capital letters so actors and others reading find it easy to distinguish an
actor and characters dialogue.
Action – tells us what is happening, are suppose to be very
descriptive. Used so that actors know what they are suppose to
act and do an action at this point to then move on to the rest of
the script. Narrative structure – doesn’t give anything away about the
character until you either first see them or when they first
have dialogue. Fairly cringy structure because its suppose
to be a cringy American paranormalhorror movie. For
example when stacy says “ thank god because if anything
happened we wouldn’t stand a chance.” is quite cringy in
itself and foreshadows what is going to happen to them.
Brackets – used so that it is a bit more padantic
at where the actor is suppose to do a specific
thing coupled/ while there point of dialogue.
Also is easier for actors, producers and directors
etc. to understand.
