The director Chris Milk has said "it connects humans in a profound way that I've never seen in other media." To achieve that, however, we need to be aware of old biases lurking beneath the surface.
It's well publicized that women tend to get motion sick moreso than men with current VR tech. Google Glass didn't take into account needs of sight-challenged users at the start. Marketers like Samsung are creating terrible VR experiences that could halt interest early.
