Yemen is facing severe economic challenges including depleted oil reserves, water shortages, high unemployment, illiteracy, food insecurity, and extreme poverty. To address these issues, financing projects focused on water and education are proposed. For water, projects would expand access to safe water and sanitation through community-managed local providers and utilities funded by domestic financial institutions. This would help meet basic needs and support food security and the environment. For education, technical and vocational training programs would develop job skills in fields like agriculture, fishing, and construction to prepare Yemen's largely young population for employment and decrease poverty.
