Introduction

After proposing to create a Summer themed set of recipe cards
featuring recipes that are perfect for Summer picnics and
BBQs, that are easy to make for all ages, which can be adapted
easily for Vegans, Vegetarians, and non-Vegetarians to use and
enjoy which are of a high quality featuring original
photography, we are going to explore mood boards for
themes, recipes, ingredients, photography style and layout plans
for example, in order to create a basic flat plan of how we would
like the recipe cards to look.
Summer Theme
We would to create a set of cards that have a
summer theme; I will need to explore how this is
achieved through colours especially.
Colours that I would need to use are cool, calm,
soft and gentle; blues and pastels especially.
I will also need to use summer prints and designs
such as floral patterns to focus on the theme
more.
Summer Foods
Summer is a time of year that most people have
off of work and school; it’s a time of year that is
lazy, warm, and full of good foods.
We will need to make my recipes fitting in with
the Summer theme. Summer is a time of year of
BBQs and Picnics, with food being a focus to
bring people together.
This would mean creating a set of recipes that
are summer styled. These recipes would need to
fit together well, and to follow a basic theme
without being a variation of each other.
Recipe Inspiration 1
This is a Jaime Oliver recipe, and it
fits in with our theme of flexible
recipes that can be used by
     anyone.
It also fits our summer theme as it
     is a light salad.
We knew we wanted to create a
set of cards that featured different
key ingredients and a Four Grain
     Salad was one of them.
We will of course adapt the recipe
     to make it our own.
Recipe Inspiration 2
