2.  The term ‘fitness’ is a concoction of
physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
It encompasses right exercise, right food
and the right temperament, resulting in a
balanced personality.
 As John.F.Kennedy has rightly said,
“Physical fitness is not only the most
important key to a healthy body, it is the
basis of dynamic and creative intellectual
activity”.

3. To find out if people in our region
are aware of the need to exercise
regularly to stay fit.

4. Goregaon is one of the rapidly developing
suburbs of the city of Mumbai. Our region
was restricted to a section of the western side
of Goregaon which hems in the Goregaon
Link Road. It is a region bursting with activity
as it is lined by prominent schools, malls and
activity centres. (video of map attached)

15.  Selection of an appropriate tool for any
survey is important.
 The tools used by us were questionnaire
and interview.
 Two different questionnaires were
distributed; one for the people who
answered ‘yes’ when we asked them if they
exercised in any form and the other to
those who said they did not.

16.  The Managers of the People’s Gym and
Goregaon Sports Club were
interviewed.They shared their valuables
inputs on how to stay fit.
