OBJECTIVE:
To gain a technical position at a reputed organization so that I can apply and improve my
engineering knowledge
6-Weeks Internship at KAPCO
Studied the design of General Electric Gas Turbines (MS-9001E). I also studied the fuel oil
circuit, water treatment system and generator cooling system.
FINAL YEAR PROJECT:
Improvement in Efficiency, Cost Analysis and Payback Period of a Combined Cycle Power Plant
with a Capacity of 150 MW.
 Examined the current layout of an existing power plant and possible addition of feed
water heater
 Determined the all the areas of heat loss and propose suggestions for improvement in
efficiency by studying various research papers.
 Using thermodynamics analysis we found the exergy destruction rates and exergetic
efficiencies and pin point out sources of heat loss
PROJECTS:
Cooling load calculations for 3 floor building:
In this project we took dimensions of and each day, checked major sources of heat losses and
by applying HVAC principles suggested the best cooling system for that building.
Solar water purifier:
Fabricated a solar water purifier from an aluminium sheet and insulated box. Water vaporized
by the heat accumulated in box was collected in an external container by designing the sheet
with a slight tilt.
