Final Journey’s is a staff development workshop for Acute Hospital Staff which raises awareness regarding quality of care at end of life. Final Journeys was developed by the Irish Hospice Foundation as part of its Hospice Friendly Hospitals programme in 2010. The workshop is now eight years old and is due for updating and review to ensure the content of the workshop is relevant and fresh.

Background to project

What is Final Journeys?
Improving how we care for people at end of life
Who is this for?
This workshop is suitable for all healthcare staff.
Final Journeys is a one-day course which aims
to improve end-of-life care through raising
awareness and empowering staff. It helps
participants to become more competent,
confident and comfortable when dealing with
patients and families at End of Life.
