1. Here are the interviews with each
interviewee and how they went.
2. Filming- Interview with Chloe Bastow- Clinique
Manager
For this interview we filmed Chloe in her own hope so we
had to make sure we could still capture the mise-en-
scene of Clinique. We did this by putting Clinique
products in the frame and having Chloe in her work
uniform. We had to use the lights to adjust the room so it
was well lit to give the feel of a Clinique shop. The first
time we filmed her though the camera was looking down
on her when it should have been looking up at her as she
is an authoritive figure. The second time we went we
used the same mise-en-scene and lighting and positions
the camera lower so it was looking up at her. This
interview was a success and used in our documentary.
We were also able to film Chloe Bastow working at
Clinique for cutaways.

When filming Stephanie we had the interview in her
house so we had to create the mise-en-scene
ourselves. She allowed us to use her makeup she
used and we placed this on the table next to her to
create the mise-en-scene. We also used some of her
portfolio pictures to create the mise-en-scene. This
interview was successful the first time and we were
able to use the footage as the camera work was good,
the background and mise-en-scene were successful
and we got some good answered from the questions
we had asked.

This was an interview which we were really glad to get
because we were able to have a males opinion on the
male makeup side of our documentary which also
worked really well within our documentary structure.
The lighting and camera work went really well. If we
were to do it again we would have added more to the
mise-en-scene but we were unable to get a second
interview on time for our deadline so we had to use
the footage we had which still had some really good
opinions on our topic, which we used over 3 times in
our documentary.

This was an interview which went really well as every
aspect went well. The lighting was really good and we
were able to film in her place of work which already
had a really good mise-en-scene. She was sat down
on a chair so you could see all of the products they
use in the shop which made the frame look really
good. The questions we asked gave us lots of really
good answers from Elaine as she expanded on them
lots and gave use lots of good footage to use in our
documentary and radio trailer.

We have been to Liverpool three times previously
before we got our final interview as there were lots of
miscommunication errors. The final time we filmed
it though we got a really good interview with lots of
good answers. The lighting was quite dark as we
were in the stock room for the interview so we had to
use our lights to brighten it up. We were also able to

14. Filming- Vox Pox
We filmed ourVoxPox twice. Our first attempt was on an
awkward part of the high street which meant that the
framing was not quite right and before we could amend
this we had to leave due to bad weather. The second time
we relocated the position of our camera so that it was in a
better part of the street with a good background where
we had our interviewees in a centre frame mid close up
shot. We used some of the good shots from our first
attempt as well as the shots from our second attempt.
The question we asked was:
What is your favorite type of makeup?
