• In 2008 the festival became the London Short Film Festival and has been growing year-on-year
to take in more films, live music, industry and training events and diverse, high-quality venues.

3. Raindance
•Raindance is an independent film festival and film school that operates throughout major cities
including: London, Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Budapest, Berlin and
Brussels.[1] The festival itself was established in 1992 by Elliot Grove.
•As one of the world’s top 50 ‘unmissable film festivals’.[2] Raindance showcases features and
shorts by filmmakers from around the world to an audience of film executives and buyers,
journalists, film fans and filmmakers.
• In 2009 the Raindance Film Festival had approximately 6069 attendees, followed by 4694 in
2010.[citation needed] Their website claims 13,500 attendees in 2012 and 80,000 online
followers.
•Fees range from £25-£150.
4. Berlin Short Film Festival
•Now entering its fourth year, the annual Berlin Short Film Festival aims to be one of Europe’s
leading film festivals for international film-makers. It is a unique platform for new talent and a
celebration of cinematic creativity and innovation.
•The Festival attracts a broad selection of shorts by film-makers working in every genre and
format.
•The 2017 Berlin Short Film Festival will show over 100 short films. Five days of premières and
networking events provide ample opportunities for selected film-makers to showcase their
achievements, learn from their fellows and build contacts for future collaborations.
•The festival is open to any film in any genre under 50 minutes in length, and especially prioritises
low-budget films of independent spirit and exciting new talent.
