Read Brian Smith’s resolutions below. Then write down
yours, saying what you intend to do differently next
year.
Write it out: imagine you are a fortune teller, a
weatherman or an astrologer. Write a paragraph
predicting what will happen.

resolutions to the rest of
the class.
New Year, new starts. Here are my new year’s resolutions.

A fortune teller:

windy and cloudy with sunny intervals.
An astrologer:
You will be successful in your studies this month. You will get good
results and perhaps you will obtain a prize.
