A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the bodyโs response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

Field assignment part 2
- 1. Mass Wasting On the picture to thee left you can see evidence of mass wasting which looks to me as a fall type of mass wasting. On the picture to the right is an example of landslide mass wasting which I took on the way up to get my spot at Kaweah River.
- 2. Sedimentary Environments This is a stream type of sedimentary environment the water in the picture comes from the mountains in the Sequoia National Park and flows all the way to Kaweah Lake. On the right is an example of a continental sedimentary environments
- 3. Weathering This is a process of weathering known as erosion the waterfall is causing the rocks beneath the waterfall to erode. Over time the rocks will erode into sand. On the right I believe is an example of mechanical weathering although I am not 100% sure. These pictures were taken at the Kaweah River on the north fork trail.
- 4. Practical Use of Geology This is the bridge in Three Rivers, CA which is a small town past Kaweah Lake. It is on mineral king road and right above a little stream.
- 5. Faults This is the only fault that I could find. This is picture is was taken right before you get to the Sequoia National Park . We took a road that I never been on before and it took us to another part of the river. I believe It is a compression fault since it seems the two lands met and crushed together.
