• The flow of presentation is divided into 3 phases
• 1.Market feasibility
• 2.Operational feasibility
• 3.Finance feasibility

• Demand analysis: we need to analyze below stated data with the help of buisness intellingent tools to
understand the demand of population.
Potential catchment population
Related healthcare need in the catchment population
Disease burden in the catchment population
% of aging population, % of ill population with co-morbidities etc.
Socio-economic status of the intended population
Current health service utilization: Frequency of visitation for health services, healthcare spending and health
insurance payment.

substitutes available
PORTERS FIVE FORCE MODEL
OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY

• Government support (Subsidies, Grants, Tax benefit, etc.)
• Understanding staff related problem
PROJECT OUTLINE
• Estimated timeline of completion of project
• Gantt chart of project activities
CRITERIA FOR SITE SELECTION
• Demographic data
• Hospital utilization pattern
Analyzed hospital utilization pattern of the hospital catchment population (By taking in account number of
visit to physician & healthcare spendingper household)
By mapping the percentage of household that visited physician more than 6 times in 12 months
Insurance penetration, average spending on healthcare per annum in the catchment area
Anlyze the health behaviour (E.g. smoking rate & exercise rate of the cathcment)
• Accessibility of proposed hospital site
Traffic volume for existing roads leading to the hospital need to analyzed using google earth pro, a web based
GIS tools
Generally roadways should be in good operating condition without congestion when average annual daily
traffic (AADT) is 10,000 or less.
Expected ambulance travel time should be minimum
Analyze public transport service around the site and identifies comprehensive & high frequency service to the
area by different type of public transport

FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY
• We should consider following for the finance feasibility
• Capital Cost:Capital Cost represents the total cost of construction including all necessary fees and
charges to completion, but not the cost of borrowing, leasing or land
• Capital costing is summarized in Net construction cost, Gross construction cost, Total project cost, Total
end cost.
• Source of financing & related cost involved (WACC)
• Time required to recover the initial cost/investment (Payback period)
• What is predicted return on investment? (IRR/NPR)
• What is cost/benefit analysis for the plan?
• Is it worth the effort? Would fund be better invested in other project?
• What are the financial risk of project plan?
