Chapter 25 of Matthew is Jesus answering the disciple s questions regarding the
destruction of the temple, the sign of his return, and the end of the age. His answers
are given to them in the three parables, all acknowledging Jesus coming back in the

Mount of Olives. The discourse was an extended teaching given by Jesus Christ. His

slowly, throughout the course of the play becomes mad and eventually dies. There
have been many film adaptations of the play all of which try and remain as close to
the original play; however, none appear to keep the same meaning of Shakespeare s
text more than director Richard Eyre s film version of King Lear (1997). Shakespeare
focuses in on each character s flaws and their contributions to the consequences at
the end of the play and although Eyre does the same in his film, he adds minor
actions and scenes to the play to give characters of the play a light ... Show more

demonstrates the total control and power Lear has over Kent by banishing his
servant. The remainders of Act I and Act II in Eyre s film focus on the conflict

that they get. They reduce Lear s hundred knights down to fifty. Goneril and Regan
s tone of voice when arguing with Lear about reducing his number of knights down
is vehement. Goneril complains about how the palace seems more like a tavern
because of Lear s knights demeanor, her voice quivers slightly, making it seem like

As Jill Soloway s TV show Transparent begins, the opening credits offer a glimpse
into the ideas of gender. From the lighting of a candle, symbolizing light into the
darkness of life, to a shimmering blue dress that worn by a female impersonator the
opening credits reveal the process of becoming a transgender. Transitioning from a
male to a female, or vice versa, is a feat that only a few come to do. However, in the
show Transparent, Mort Pfefferman transitions into Maura Pfefferman, a masculine
figure who blossoms in femininity and bravery. While it is already a difficult task to
come out as transgender, Maura has to deal with the drama revolving with her family.
Throughout the first season of Transparent, gender identity is explored and seen
through the challenges that the characters face. For instance, Maura struggles to
reveal his true identity to his children. In episode 1, Pilot, Mort calls his children and
invites them to dinner. The children suspect that Maura has a terminal disease;
however, Maura is planning on revealing his greatest secret: that she is transitioning.
Later that evening, after Sarah and Josh leave, Ali, the child who Maura sees

will continue to the citric cycle where it will undergo a series of eight mediated
