For me, the message lyricallybehindthe songwasmore importanthere,hence whyIwantedareal strippedbackproduction.” Coventry-basedrapperMugun featuresonthe track witha dope verse toadd balance to the track from a male perspective. Track 2 is ‘Why’.Vintage neo-soulfeelsringthroughoutwithFaye Meanaagainillustratingherself asnot onlyan artistwitha brilliantvoice butalsoasan impeccable lyricist.Fromstartto end,thistrack is flawlessineveryway. ‘What You WannaDo’ optimizes everythingaboutFaye’ssound.Intimate instrumentationwhichmakes youfeel like she isperforminginfrontof yourveryeyesanda melodicallyenchantingvoice that continuestopull youinthroughout.Anothersolidtrack,whichfitsperfectlywithinthe theme of the project. ‘UnrequitedLove’ isarguablythe highlightof whatisanall round tightlyknittedproject.Faye here touchesonthe feelingof aone-waylove,andthe realisationof knowingthe one youlove willnever trulybe yours.Yet again,the track poursgenuine soul pullingheavyonthe heartstrings.The punchy bass line andmelodicpercussionmakesthisone aninstantheadbopper.
