This study examines the relationship between favoritism, nepotism, cronyism and job satisfaction in the telecommunications sector in Pakistan. The study aims to observe the consequences of these factors on job satisfaction. Based on a sample of 220 employees from four telecom companies, the study finds a negative relationship between job satisfaction and favoritism, nepotism, and cronyism. Specifically, the hypotheses that favoritism, nepotism and cronyism are negatively related to job satisfaction are supported. The study provides a basis for future research to examine these relationships in other sectors and countries, and to consider other impacted variables like worker efficiency and organizational performance.
