Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center was born over 100 years ago during the rise of the Settlement House
movement. LSNC’s mission is to meet the social, educational, recreational and cultural needs of the greater
Lincoln Center neighborhood.
The organization works every day to meet the emerging needs of their neighborhood by delivering programs
and services to the over 1,000 members of our community, from preschoolers to senior citizens. This includes
a state-of-the-art Technology Learning Center that provides computer training for children, youth, older
adults and the community using technology as a vehicle to empower individuals and the neighborhood.
However, a fragmented IT infrastructure with multiple DSL internet connections, aging analogue private
branch exchange (PBX) telephony systems combined with poor customer services from its provider had
created a complex IT management model that was very expensive and no longer scalable.
The organization decided to address these challenges by implementing a single IP platform capable of
supporting voice, video, and data reducing cost with one network.
