TeachStreet aims to model aspects of Yelp and OpenTable by providing an open directory of classes, user-generated content to review classes, and earning revenue from placement fees and advertising as well as transaction fees and business management tools for instructors. The total addressable market for lifelong learning in the U.S. is over $30 billion annually spent by 54 million people taking personal interest classes, representing a $5 billion opportunity.
