Fast food restaurants raise a number of important issues related to health. In this paper it will be
argued that fast food restaurants negatively impact the health of customers. The consumption
contributes to obesity, diabetes and heart disease. However, the growing popularity of fast causal
restaurants has made healthier options more popular. In the near future fast causal restaurants will
either dominant the restaurant industry or the fast food restaurants will become more like fast casual
restaurants. Fast food restaurants have been very popular in North America. The number of fast food
restaurants has been increasing and so have the sales of these restaurants. Paeratakul, Ferdinand,
Champagne, Ryan and Bray(2003) notes, More recent estimates show that in 2001, there were about
222,000 fast food locations in the United States, generating sales of more than $125 billion. The
number is projected to increase by 4.1% in 2002, with estimated sales of $130.1 billion (p. 1332).

There are plenty of ways to reduce wait time its just the way people manage it. One way I can
suggest to reduce wait time would be to bring back roller skates. If you ever go to sonic to eat you
will see that skates aren't used to take out orders. Skating is proven to be faster than walking as long
as you know how to skate but even if you don't know how to skate there should be some kind of
training to teach you how to skate. Another way to reduce wait time would be to eliminate bad
employees. You can't expect to reduce wait time if you have lazy employees, you need people who
want to improve in their work area. For example, I work at sonic and I have witnessed lazy
employees in the present and past, and they bring up our times which make us look bad. Eliminating
bad employees could solve a lot of problems with reducing wait time. Why should somebody be

or evil. Fast food has become this plague for America, outgrowing and overrunning the United
States since the opening of Ray Kroc's first McDonalds restaurant in 1955. According to Leslie
Patton, reporter for Bloomberg Business, by 1983 6,000 McDonalds franchises covered the U.S. and
for the next two decades the restaurant has opened about 360 outlets in the U.S. every year. (Patton,
"Have We Reached Peak Burger?") This fast and steady growth has encouraged rivals like Burger
King and Wendy's to do the same; oversaturating communities with corporate giants. The takeover
of fast food franchises has had a direct relation to our health epidemic among American citizens, the
decline in quality of life and the abuse of employees, and even livestock associated with such

Top 5 Worst Fast Food Restaurants In America
There is a wide variety of fast food restaurants in America catering to different regionals, cultural,
and ethic tastes. Of all the choices available, which ones would qualify as the top 5 Worst Fast Food
Restaurants in America? Based on their management, service, and cleanliness, my personal choices
would be McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, and Taco Bell. My brother gave up all fast food
