While it is true, this duo is not seeing in any action packed scenes, nor are they found in desperate
crisis, these two bring a whole new side of heroism to the table. Hero, as defined by the Merriam
Webster dictionary is, a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities; a person or
character who, in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness, displays courage,
bravery or self sacrifice; courageous and brave (Hero, 2015). In their own ways each of these two
saves their other. Michaels heroism stems from his selflessness that is seen in his every reaction to
his ill baby sister and his compassion and acceptance of Skellig. Equally, Skellig is a hero in his
own right. He overcomes his fear of the outside world to save Michael from his unrealized self
