complete and submit Event Request Form to
cloevents@gems.gov.za OR complete via the
online event request form
Carefully select your service option and
related requirements
Ensure that you are using
the updated event request
form which includes the
following three service
options
• HRA (online, onsite or remote)
• COVID – 19 Screenings
• Wellbeing Training
• Events can be scheduled by Regional CLO or Governent EHWP

How do I know that a
department’s wellbeing culture
is not optimal?
• There is no long term wellbeing strategy in place
• No Wellbeing Partnership: Existing wellbeing programmes are
fragmented/not integrated

organisation
• No buy in of senior management
• Event participation is below 50% and/or no events are planned

• Prioritise Government departments to be engaged.
• Conduct Departmental needs analysis to understand Govt requirements
• Proactive event planning: Encourage departments in developing annual screening plans
• Engage with CLO Helpdesk for relevant support services that can be provided to departments
• Engage and Mobilise departments (EHWP) to actively participate in the GEMS WCL programme
• Position the GEMS brand within Govt and promote all scheme services

FAQ3: Prevent Fraud, Waste and Abuse(FWA)
GEMS CLO should provide the Government departments with information on FWA prevention.
Service providers are not allowed to charge for any service provided at GEMS Wellness days.
Members who were charged for any screening consultations following a GEMS Wellness day should inform
GEMS Fraud Line:
