Architecture is a collaborative art form that serves as a vital instrument
in shaping our future. The synergy of diverse teams has been a source
of joy, enabling individuals to contribute their unique perspectives and
expertise. Through this collaboration, architects can enhance their
skills and broaden their horizons, ultimately deepening their
understanding of how architecture can cater to the needs of different
communities.
My academic journey has been a rich and fulfilling experience, marked
by a wide range of design projects that presented unique challenges
and opportunities. Whether designing a friendship center that
fostered inclusivity, a commercial bank that prioritized user
experience, or a factory project that promoted sustainability, every
moment spent problem-solving, sketching, and collaborating with
peers and mentors was cherished.
Looking ahead, I am passionate about leveraging my architectural
knowledge and skills to address contemporary challenges. I am
convinced that architecture can be a positive force for change, from
designing sustainable, energy-efficient buildings to creating inclusive
and accessible spaces that benefit all members of society. I am
enthusiastic about contributing to the ongoing discourse on how
architecture can respond to the evolving needs of our world,
particularly in the areas of urbanization, climate change, and social
inequality.
In conclusion, architecture is an ever-evolving field that bridges the
gap between art and science, history and innovation, and individual
expression and communal well-being. It is a field that has captured my
imagination and taught me the importance of purposeful, responsible
design. As I move forward in my academic journey, I am excited to be
part of the transformative power of architecture, where every design
has the potential to shape a better future.

Covenant University is a private
Pentecostal Christian University,
which has been operating with
official status since 2002 in Ota,
Nigeria. Covenant is one of the
leading universities in Africa found
on Christian Mission Ethos.
The University community is
growing in leaps and bound, and
this is also reflected in the growth of
the student population especially
with the inclusion of new colleges in
earnest. As such, the University is
anticipating having an auditorium
facility that can serve as a wide
variety of events or activities,
especially lectures for large classes,
University events, general
entertainments, community
meetings, and global conferences.
The design considerations for this
project were noise and acoustics,
universal design, structural stability,
functionality and aesthetics,
building services, adaptability,
anthropometrics, and entrance/exit
points.

CONCEPT
The initial building shape
starts with a basic solid
block, which served as the
foundation for the design.
The block was then
modified to achieve the
final mass
Sections towards the rear
were pushed in to create
room for ventilation, as
zoning in the building
required the section to be
adequately ventilated
Main auditorium area was
elevated above other
sections to accommodate
galleries, without
compromising sightlines
and headroom
The roof of the structure
was then tapered towards
the rear to accentuate
acoustics while also
reducing the need for
unnecessary void space

MAJOR LANDMARK
Landmark Site: Covenant
University Chapel
One of the most prominent
landmarks in the vicinity is
the Covenant University
Chapel. This impressive
chapel can accommodate
up to 4000 worshippers
and also serves many other
purposes beyond religious
services for the Covenant
University community.
ROAD CONDITION
The most direct way to
access this location is via
Faith Avenue. This privately
owned and maintained
road is constructed with
asphalt and is under the
ownership of Covenant
University.
VEGETATION
The site boasts an
expansive view of the
surrounding area, featuring
a collection of short grasses
and deciduous trees. It's a
popular destination for
birdwatchers and nature
enthusiasts alike. During
the summer months, the
area is adorned with an
array of wildflowers, and
various small animals call it
home.
TERRAIN
Although the flat terrain of
the site allows for easier
construction and
development, flooding and
drainage must be
considered. Proper
planning and engineering
measures are necessary.
Overall, the flatness of the
site offers opportunities for
various projects.
SITE FEATURES
The proposed construction
would necessitate clearing
the site of various natural
elements, including anthills,
tree stumps, hedges, and
plum trees. Additionally, the
site currently features
floodlights and manholes.

ZONING
GT Bank's architectural design plays a crucial role in their branding
process. Both the exterior and interior spaces of their buildings are
carefully crafted to reflect the brand's image. The unconventional
designs that GT Bank is known for are evident in the shape of their
buildings. An offset grid system was utilized in the design of the
building to optimize the use of the site and offer a unique floor plan,
which is a hallmark of GT Bank's architectural style.

WASTE TO WEALTH
Waste to Wealth is a recycling factory with a focus
on processing paper and plastic waste, located in
Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state. The facility is
designed to serve as a sustainable architectural
model for recycling plant designs, both during and
after its construction. The project prioritizes
flexible space utilization, performance
expectations, natural light and views integration,
and standardized structural design. The factory's
primary consumers would be Covenant
University's local population and the Ota region.
The raw materials for the plant would largely be
sourced from the local community.
This initiative is a significant step towards
promoting eco-friendly practices and addressing
environmental concerns. The factory's location in
Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state is strategic as it
allows for easy access to the local population of
Covenant University and the larger Ota region. The
factory's architectural design aims to set the
standard for recycling plant designs across the
country. The incorporation of form with the
environment is a crucial aspect of the factory's
design, providing access to stunning views, and
maximizing the use of natural daylight. By utilizing
waste generated by the local population, Waste to
Wealth promotes a circular economy, reducing
waste and creating a valuable resource. EAGLE SQUARE

  • 2. Architecture is a collaborative art form that serves as a vital instrument in shaping our future. The synergy of diverse teams has been a source of joy, enabling individuals to contribute their unique perspectives and expertise. Through this collaboration, architects can enhance their skills and broaden their horizons, ultimately deepening their understanding of how architecture can cater to the needs of different communities. My academic journey has been a rich and fulfilling experience, marked by a wide range of design projects that presented unique challenges and opportunities. Whether designing a friendship center that fostered inclusivity, a commercial bank that prioritized user experience, or a factory project that promoted sustainability, every moment spent problem-solving, sketching, and collaborating with peers and mentors was cherished. Looking ahead, I am passionate about leveraging my architectural knowledge and skills to address contemporary challenges. I am convinced that architecture can be a positive force for change, from designing sustainable, energy-efficient buildings to creating inclusive and accessible spaces that benefit all members of society. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the ongoing discourse on how architecture can respond to the evolving needs of our world, particularly in the areas of urbanization, climate change, and social inequality. In conclusion, architecture is an ever-evolving field that bridges the gap between art and science, history and innovation, and individual expression and communal well-being. It is a field that has captured my imagination and taught me the importance of purposeful, responsible design. As I move forward in my academic journey, I am excited to be part of the transformative power of architecture, where every design has the potential to shape a better future. ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT

  • 6. CBSS GARDEN COLLEGE OF DEVELOPMENTAL STUDIES CHAPEL CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT STUDIES CHAPEL ACCESS ROAD STAFF QUARTERS Covenant University is a private Pentecostal Christian University, which has been operating with official status since 2002 in Ota, Nigeria. Covenant is one of the leading universities in Africa found on Christian Mission Ethos. The University community is growing in leaps and bound, and this is also reflected in the growth of the student population especially with the inclusion of new colleges in earnest. As such, the University is anticipating having an auditorium facility that can serve as a wide variety of events or activities, especially lectures for large classes, University events, general entertainments, community meetings, and global conferences. The design considerations for this project were noise and acoustics, universal design, structural stability, functionality and aesthetics, building services, adaptability, anthropometrics, and entrance/exit points. FORM DEVELOPMENT 06 ELEVATE TAPER PUSH CONCEPT The initial building shape starts with a basic solid block, which served as the foundation for the design. The block was then modified to achieve the final mass Sections towards the rear were pushed in to create room for ventilation, as zoning in the building required the section to be adequately ventilated Main auditorium area was elevated above other sections to accommodate galleries, without compromising sightlines and headroom The roof of the structure was then tapered towards the rear to accentuate acoustics while also reducing the need for unnecessary void space HEBRON AUDITORIUM

HUMIDITY TEMPERATURE SUNSHINE RAINFALL RAINY DAYS NOISE FROM ROAD S.W MONSOON WIND NOISE FROM ROAD N.E TRADE WIND SITE DRAINAGE SITE ANALYSIS SITE LOCATION MAP ACCESS PRIVATE PARKING PUBLIC PARKING MAIN BUILDING SITE ZONING MAJOR LANDMARK Landmark Site: Covenant University Chapel One of the most prominent landmarks in the vicinity is the Covenant University Chapel. This impressive chapel can accommodate up to 4000 worshippers and also serves many other purposes beyond religious services for the Covenant University community. ROAD CONDITION The most direct way to access this location is via Faith Avenue. This privately owned and maintained road is constructed with asphalt and is under the ownership of Covenant University. VEGETATION The site boasts an expansive view of the surrounding area, featuring a collection of short grasses and deciduous trees. It's a popular destination for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike. During the summer months, the area is adorned with an array of wildflowers, and various small animals call it home. TERRAIN Although the flat terrain of the site allows for easier construction and development, flooding and drainage must be considered. Proper planning and engineering measures are necessary. Overall, the flatness of the site offers opportunities for various projects. SITE FEATURES The proposed construction would necessitate clearing the site of various natural elements, including anthills, tree stumps, hedges, and plum trees. Additionally, the site currently features floodlights and manholes. 07 HEBRON AUDITORIUM
