1. Welcome Message from Director COE
It is an honor and pleasure for College Of Engineering PAF KIET to welcome the
participants at the 8th Student Engineering Exhibition SEE 2014 on Engineering
Development in the Changing World: Mysteries and Myths of 21st Century.
Students’ Engineering Exhibition (SEE) is an Annual activity organized by College of
Engineering, PAF KIET to conduct Final Year Project Competition. In 2007, KIET
conducted its first national level SEE ’07 event, which brought together final year
students of various engineering Institutes across Pakistan to display their Final Year
Projects.
This year, for the 8th time, we welcome all the participants from all over Pakistan to join
us in this event and show their mettle. Lately, competitions for junior students have also
been introduced.
Over the years, COE has established itself from an undergrad college to an
establishment of diverse education and research excellence. Its mission is to strengthen
effective teaching and learning.
Technology and globalization has changed the landscape of engineering education for
the betterment of humanity. Now, engineering education is much more than a simple
utilitarian function. SEE 14 is not only about competing for best project, but it is about
bringing the best out of every single participating student. SEE 14 aims to provide
students an opportunity to dialogue the shifting paradigms of engineering panorama and
ways to confront these challenges. Keeping this in view, we have set themes from
engineering progression to engineering innovation to facilitate students at all levels.
We believe this event will also provide opportunities to break the artificial wall between
universities, colleges and schools.
This fantastic symbiosis will equip students with a chance to develop their practice and
promote quality engineering projects. The event is an invitation to enter into a collective
endeavor to strengthen our work to build a self-improving system for fostering talented
young people, who will contribute to establish a greater harmony in the country and
world at large.
I am deeply thankful to our sponsors for believing in us. I would also like to extend my
gratitude to all our volunteers and SEE Team in putting their efforts to share their
knowledge, experience and skills to make this event successful. I am thankful to the
SEE Organizing Committee and participants as without them there would not be such
an event. I hope that you will take advantage of SEE 14 and be on the lookout for
exciting innovations and advances in the field of Engineering. Thank you for your
support in making this event successful.
