today. We fully support the TOGAF ADM, the core of what TOGAF is all about. Tailor

We include 80+ real-life templates for all the artifacts that have been identified by

One of our strongest features is an integrated visual modeler. A browser based modeler
using the latest HTML5 drawing capabilities that is truly an-par with Visio. Create stunning
visual models ready for presentations, business-user friendly while still fully integrated with
your architecture portfolio and repository. The list of features is really too long to list but
below are some of the highlights:
 Full control on the visual appearance of components and relationships;
 Support for Archimate notation standards;
 Support for standard page sizes, page orientations and export to PDF for pixel
perfect quality;
 With every model being linked back to the same central repository renaming a
component will automatically update all models containing that component as well!

EAComposer was built from scratch as a pure web based product. Only using clean HTML5
and JavaScript. No installs or plugins required. Also with our cloud deployment model you
will never have to worry about upgrades, hardware refresh or any other kind of
maintenance. You access is instant. Monthly release will bring new features you can
immediately leverage.
Our design is fresh and innovative using the latest User Interface trends. Screens are
responsive based on the device used. We support all major browsers, but we recommend
using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as they provide the best experience.
Manage your data using an Excel import wizard
Included is an Excel import wizard. A great way to jump start and upload any existing
content you have into EAComposer e.g. your list of applications, servers, business functions
etc. The import wizard can also be used to update components which is ideal if you want to
batch update multiple components.

Simple but effective Architecture Governance
Our support for Architecture Governance is broken down into three features:
 To ensure projects and initiatives are aligned with architecture standards, roadmaps
and strategies we have included a Compliance Assessment feature
 To ensure that all architecture decisions made are properly managed we have
included a Decision Log feature
 In order to be able to apply architecture governance it needs to be clear to all
stakeholders how they can be compliant. For that purpose EAComposer includes
both a Reference Library and Standards Library feature.
Apply architecture Compliance Assessments against projects and initiatives. Included is a
default compliance assessment report that you can leverage or if you have your own
assessment criteria you can also upload this as an attached artifacts. A single place to
manage the architecture compliance across the landscape is a big step up in architecture
maturity.
The second part of architecture governance is to manage the architecture decisions that are
made. Often via projects and initiatives. A single place we call the architecture Decision Log.
Also comes with a predefined template for you to document your decisions (or to upload
your own template for decisions).
In order to manage your standards and other alignment criteria, like alignment with
roadmaps or strategies, that architectures need to comply to there is both an Reference
Library and Standards Library feature:
 The Reference Library contains all relevant architectures need to be aware of
including technology strategies & roadmaps, reference models and best practices.
Classification of the reference library is based on the TOGAF Architecture Continuum
and further extended with years of practical EA experience.
 The Standards Library is, as its name suggests, where you store your standards. The
specifications to which architectures must conform. These include your Application
and Technology catalogs but also any industry standards like security standards.
Categorization is done using the TOGAF Meta Model and the standard lifecycle is
also aligned with TOGAF.

able to rationalize, consolidate and apply overall portfolio management to this. With

Use the Metamodel to control your context & scope
The Metamodel allows you to control the context of your repository. Define the component
types, relationships and any extended attributes which are relevant to your situation. Out-of-
the-box you get the full TOGAF Metamodel.
Easy to use reporting & analysis – no SQL required
An easy-to-use reporting & analysis feature with out-of-the-box report types that you can
leverage in a matter of seconds. No SQL required.
These reports will produce an Excel like output. The reports you can choose from include:
 Impact analysis reports (e.g. what is all impacted if application XYZ is down)
 Traceability reports (e.g. what all contributes to goal ABC)
 Validation reports (e.g. what are all application with no vendor associated)
