Which Microsoft Tool to Use and When - EbookAnfernee Bonds
Many people using Microsoft 365 want to be able to work remotely while communicating like they would in an Office. With these tools, you can communicate better than being in an office from anywhere.
Connected field service WhatsApp integration with Microsoft 365 PlatformMohamed Ashiq Faleel
Here’s an example of incredible integration possibilities with Microsoft Tech. & other communication tools – we’ve used WhatsApp here. So the customer messages the organization over WhatsApp with an issues, which the agent/engineers receives & acknowledges over an adaptive card in MS Teams in real time! With deep integration from Teams to PowerApps, the agent is able to assign a technician real time with the case in a few clicks. The agent is further able to guide the technician to resolve the issue by collaborating on Teams & finally resolve the case in PowerApps and WhatsApp back the customer from PowerApps, real time!
With every new Microsoft announcement, it is clear that PowerApps is evolving to be Cloud Business Application platform of choice. New changes are merging Canvas and Model Driven worlds thus providing unified tool/platform to solve business problems. That is why Comtrade has developed Business ToolBox - several everyday small business applications to support this path and customers.
This is a presentation from Sinergija 19. Presentation is covering platform overview, step-by-step process of application creation and tackle licensing changes and benefits.

Power Platform Introduction - Utah PowerApps and Flow User GroupGreg McMurray
This brief introduction was given at the first Utah PowerApps & Flow User Group meeting in September 2019. These slides provide a very brief introduction to the Power Platform and were followed up by demos of actual applications that had been built leveraging the platform.
CCI 2019 - PowerApps for Enterprise Developerswalk2talk srl

HOW CAN POWERAPPS AND MICROSOFT FLOW ALLOWS YOUR POWER USERS TO QUICKLY BUILD...Sandro Pereira
Every organization faces constant pressure to do more with less. While technology is often the key to operating more effectively and efficiently, cost and complexity have often prevented organizations from taking maximum advantage of the potential benefits. The growth of SaaS (software as a service) has lowered barriers – no need to deploy servers or to install and configure complex software systems. Just sign up and go.
Microsoft Flow and Microsoft PowerApps will help these people (normally business users) achieve more.
We know not every business problem can be solved with off-the-shelf solutions. But developing custom solutions has traditionally been too costly and time-consuming for many of the needs teams and departments face, especially those projects that integrate across multiple data sources or require delivery across multiple devices from desktop to mobile. As a result, too many technology needs end up unsolved or under-optimized. We piece together spreadsheets, email chains, SharePoint or/and manual processes to fill in the gaps.
PowerApps and Microsoft Flow are both aimed squarely at these gaps. They give people who best understand their needs and challenges the power to quickly meet them, without the time, complexity and cost of custom software development.
In this session, we will look at these two new offering from Microsoft: PowerApps and Flow. What are they? How can I use it? But special we will walk through and create from scratch some live demos showing how to create Enterprise Mobile Application that easily connects with all your enterprise platforms like Office36, SharePoint Online, Dynamic CRM, on-premise SQL, Social Networks and much more and also how they can automate some common tasks using the new Microsoft Flow.

AWS Partner: Grindr: Aggregate, Analyze, and Act on 900M Daily API CallsAmazon Web Services
Monitoring and making sense of infrastructure data can be an arduous process. Managing a volume of API calls from more than one million active users every minute presents an even more complex and demanding challenge. Using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Datadog, Grindr overcame a series of infrastructure challenges by both implementing and managing highly scalable, high availability, and top performing infrastructure, as well as aggregating, analyzing, and acting on key infrastructure data KPIs.
A short summary describing the major guiding principles of each of the five pillars and key actions that can be taken based on the key points mentioned
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
