• As per IT Act (2000) India has Extraterritorial laws but details
on penalties is unclear.
HOW FACEBOOK DATA BREACH COULD BE
AVOIDED
• Storing Facebook users private data in blocks in a Blockchain
Network could have avoided any such data breaches.
• Any information related to that block can have link of the private
information data block of that user.
• This will help in tracking any data modifications or data manipulation
being tried by any third party.
• Also by adopting dynamic trust management method (DTMM) where
trust value gets updated according to the performance of the node,
Facebook can keep track of Users activity to check data breach and
increase security
HOW FACEBOOK DATA BREACH COULD BE
AVOIDED
• DTMM has been discussed in detail in “ Organic IT Infrastructure Planning and
Implementation” available at Amazon https://www.amazon.in/Organic-
Infrastructure-Planning-Implementation-
Manisha/dp/9352740726/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1521787076&sr
=1-1&keywords=organic+it+infrastructure
• DTMM has been used in Organic Networks details of which are available in the
above mentioned book.
• Moreover Any new app/code/ad etc. before upload could be made mandatory
for verification by Facebook before its upload
• Instead of just questioning Facebook action should have been taken against the
app designer and the data harvesting company also
HOW FACEBOOK DATA BREACH COULD BE
AVOIDED
• Also DTMM has been discussed in case of Clod Computing and
the work will be available soon at www.grin.com title Cloud:
DDoS, Blockchain, Regulation and Complaince by Dr. Manisha
