Teaching is a very important job and once you get your classroom management skills in order you will be enjoying teaching more and will have a more productive teaching career.
The most important element of classroom management is allowing your students an opportunity to understand that your rules are a part of giving them the best education possible.
Online learning provides greater access to education through collaboration between the internet and classroom. It utilizes online resources to help students meet state standards, with teachers guiding students' interactions with online materials rather than simply presenting information. Online courses are developed by subject experts and moderated by e-moderators who encourage participation. Successful online learning depends on appropriate class sizes, use of online time, development of online communities, and occasional face-to-face meetings. Assessment focuses on participation, which is often a factor in grades. Online learning benefits students who require specialized instruction or have scheduling challenges.
ICT literacy basically involves using digital technology, communication tools and/or access, manage, integrate, evaluate and create information in order to function in a knowledge society.
Classroom management is important for teachers to effectively teach students and promote learning. It involves organizing the classroom, students, time, and materials. Key aspects of effective classroom management according to research include with-it-ness, overlapping, smoothness, and group focus. Establishing clear rules, procedures, and consequences also helps manage student behavior. Motivating students and effective transitions between activities further support good classroom management.
The document discusses creating a supportive learning environment in the classroom. It emphasizes the importance of managing the physical space, establishing clear expectations and building relationships on the first day of school. It also stresses creating a positive classroom climate through motivation, diversity and recognizing students' multiple intelligences. Building self-esteem and developing consistent discipline policies are also identified as important for a supportive environment.
Blended learning combines traditional in-person classroom methods with online digital learning. It allows students to sometimes learn at school and sometimes online, with some control over the pace and path of their learning. Blended learning can incorporate tools like email, videos, discussion boards and Google Docs. It provides advantages like personalized learning support, opportunities for independent and collaborative work, and increased student engagement through various learning styles. Teachers play an essential guiding role in blended classrooms by helping students manage their activities and direct their learning. 3. PHYSICAL PROXIMITY
Proximity plays a huge role in any form of
education. The closer students are to
resources the better of a position they
are in to succeed. Teacher and educators
also are better equipped to provide extra
help when they can see the student's
work first hand.
4. PERSONAL PARENT/EDUCATOR RELATIONSHIP
Part of the education process is not just
in the classroom. Home life plays a
crucial part in education. It is important
that both parents and teachers
communicate effectively. When parents
are invested in their child's education,
wonderful things can be achieved.
5. HANDS ON APPROACH
In a classroom or one-on-one setting, it
important to acknowledge that unlike
online education, teachers have the
opportunity to take a hands on approach.
Educators can step in and give extra
attention to a particular lesson based off
of students needs.
6. ACCOUNTABILITY
Much like a hands on approach, in
person education provides much
more accountability. If students are
struggling in class or not doing their
homework, educators have a way of
keeping students engaged and
keeping them accountable for their
work.
7. NO NEED FOR BACKGROUND IN COMPUTERS
Most often, online learning is plagued with
the technology holding the student and
teachers back. With face-to-face learning,
technology is used, but not relied 100%
upon. If a teacher is using technology to
aid a lesson, they can still teach without it.
This is not the case with online learning.
