Star-delta starters are commonly used to start 3-phase induction motors. They connect the motor in star configuration during starting for reduced voltage and current, then switch to delta configuration once the motor reaches operating speed. The starter uses contactors to switch between the star and delta configurations automatically. Star-delta starters are suitable for starting motors that are not heavily loaded during start up, as they provide lower starting torque than direct-on-line starting.
This document summarizes a training presentation on electrical engineering topics. It discusses low voltage control panels, starting methods for induction motors including DOL, star-delta, and autotransformer starters. It also covers forward and reverse operation of induction motors using contactors, and describes voltage-operated and current-operated earth leakage circuit breakers. The conclusion is that the training provided practical knowledge of electrical equipment like motors and starters, and introduced earth leakage circuit breakers which protect against leakage current through earth.

Gas agency management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
The project entitled "Gas Agency" is done to make the manual process easier by making it a computerized system for billing and maintaining stock. The Gas Agencies get the order request through phone calls or by personal from their customers and deliver the gas cylinders to their address based on their demand and previous delivery date. This process is made computerized and the customer's name, address and stock details are stored in a database. Based on this the billing for a customer is made simple and easier, since a customer order for gas can be accepted only after completing a certain period from the previous delivery. This can be calculated and billed easily through this. There are two types of delivery like domestic purpose use delivery and commercial purpose use delivery. The bill rate and capacity differs for both. This can be easily maintained and charged accordingly.
Prediction of Electrical Energy Efficiency Using Information on Consumer's Ac...PriyankaKilaniya
Energy efficiency has been important since the latter part of the last century. The main object of this survey is to determine the energy efficiency knowledge among consumers. Two separate districts in Bangladesh are selected to conduct the survey on households and showrooms about the energy and seller also. The survey uses the data to find some regression equations from which it is easy to predict energy efficiency knowledge. The data is analyzed and calculated based on five important criteria. The initial target was to find some factors that help predict a person's energy efficiency knowledge. From the survey, it is found that the energy efficiency awareness among the people of our country is very low. Relationships between household energy use behaviors are estimated using a unique dataset of about 40 households and 20 showrooms in Bangladesh's Chapainawabganj and Bagerhat districts. Knowledge of energy consumption and energy efficiency technology options is found to be associated with household use of energy conservation practices. Household characteristics also influence household energy use behavior. Younger household cohorts are more likely to adopt energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation practices and place primary importance on energy saving for environmental reasons. Education also influences attitudes toward energy conservation in Bangladesh. Low-education households indicate they primarily save electricity for the environment while high-education households indicate they are motivated by environmental concerns.
Embedded machine learning-based road conditions and driving behavior monitoringIJECEIAES
Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.

3. Introduction
What is Starter ?
As the name suggests, a starter is an electrical device which controls
the electrical power for starting a motor. These electrical devices are
also used for the purpose of stopping, reversing and protecting electric
motors.
4. Classification of Starter
We are generally use this types of starter-
1. Autotransformer Starter
2. Direct On Line (DOL) Starter
3. Roter Resistance Starter
4. Manual Starter
5. Star Delta Starter
5. Star Delta Starter
Here we will learn about Star Delta Starter-
Star delta starters are another device that may be used to
reduce current demand during motor startup. It is often
used for starting three-phase induction motors, but can
only be used when starting the motor without load and
when the required starting current is relatively low.
6. Principle of Star Delta Starter
A star delta starter will start a motor with a star-connected
stator winding. When the motor reaches about 80% of its full
load speed, it will begin to run in a delta-connected stator
winding
A star delta starter is a type of reduced voltage starter. We use it
to reduce the starting current of the motor without using any
external device or apparatus. This is a big advantage of a star
delta starter, as it typically has around 1/3 of the inrush current
compared to a DOL starter.

Contactor is a device which is used to make and break
the circuit When the current passes through the
electromagnet a magnetic field is produce which
attracts the moving core of the contactor together
when the contactor coil is de-energized gravity or
spring return the electromagnetic core its initial
position.
11. Contactor
Feature:
Contactor is a relay that used for switching power.
They usually handle very heavy load like all electric
motor, lightning and heating equipment.
12. Main contactor
Main contactor is the driver contactor which is
used to drive star and delta contactor. It reduces
the three phase supply from three phase MCB and
goes to overload relay.
14. Star Contactor
Star contactor connects the induction motor in star
configuration and reduces the supply voltage to induction
motor in order to limit the starting current of motor. It
receives the three phase supply from output delta
contactor and its output ends are short circuited.
16. Delta Contactor
Delta contactor connects the motor in delta configuration
and supplies rated supply voltage to motor. It receives
three phase supply from input side of driver contactor and
its three phase output goes to induction motor.
18. Timer On Delay
In our project Timer is the brain of project (Starter), timer manages time
for which is on first we use On-Delay mode of timer in our project.
We set some time for star connection i.e. from NC supply gives to star
contactor.
After some time completion it will changeover to NO that means it will
open. And No gives to Delta Contactor after completion of time it will
converted into NC means it closes the circuit of Delta contactor. So delta
contactor is energized and motor run in delta configuration this process
is occurs rapidly.
20. Thermal Over Load Relay
In our project we use the overload relay which is externally
connected to the main contactor and it is used to protect the
motor from single phasing and event of short circuit or being
overloaded and overheating. It has automatic and manual reset
modes and it has ambient temperature coefficient. Overload relay
is the protecting component of our project.
21. Thermal Over Load Relay
Features:
1. Inbuilt single phasing protection.
2. Suitable for direct/separate mounting.
3. Auto and manual reset motor.
23. Volt Meter
Voltmeter is a device in which a large resistance is
connected in series with a galvanometer. Voltmeters
always connect in parallel in circuits because its
resistance is very large. Voltmeter tells us the voltage
difference between two points in the circuit.
25. Ameter
The device used to measure an electric current in a circuit is called
an ampere meter or ammeter. An ammeter is used in series with
the part of the circuit to measure the passing current to measure
direct or alternating electric current. An ammeter only measures
electric current when it is set up correctly.
27. Miniature Circuit Breaker (1-Φ)
The single phase MCB is used to protect the control circuit of
the project. It automatically switches off the electrical circuit
during abnormal condition of the circuit means in overload
condition as well as faulty condition. It is also use as Switch of
our control circuit.
28. Miniature Circuit Breaker(3-Φ)
We use three phase MCB for Protection of the power
circuit of the project the main function is interrupting the
continuity of electrical flow through the Circuit once a
fault is detected in simple terms it is a switch which
automatically turn off when the current flowing through it
passes the maximum allowable limit.
30. Push ON/OFF Button
A push button is momentary or non latching switch which causes a temporary change in the state of electrical
circuit.
Only while the switch is physically actuated an automatic mechanism that is a spring returns the switch to its
default position immediately after restoring the initial circuit condition.
In our project start button is NO and the stop button is NC.
NO: Normally open
NC: Normally closed.
32. Indicator
Indicator indicates condition of circuit.
1. Red Indicator indicates the:-Stop condition of circuit.
2. Green indicator indicates the: Start condition of circuit.
3. Yellow Indicator indicates the:-Trip condition of circuit that is it will be glow
whenever fault occurs.
4. This are operate in single phase 230volt AC.
34. GSM Module
In GSM based, the Pump Controllers (Mobile Pump Starter) are specifically design to
operate remote located submersible pumps and motors for benefit of farmers, agriculture
people and industries where wireless pump and motor control required.
In GSM Module when we call our module contact number then it operates the relay and
energized the relay of motor starter and turn on the circuit of push on button.
