From doughnuts to sandwiches and from orange juice
to coffee, our days are filled with essentials, treats
and pick me ups. Whilst food and drink are necessary
and enjoyable ways of getting us through the day,
they can leave a lingering effect on our teeth and
mouth. Whatever you eat and drink, chewing
Wrigley’s Extra sugar free gum helps keep your teeth
clean and your mouth fresh. We decided that the
colours were boring and too simple so we made it a
lot different to any chewing gum products that are out
there.
EAT, DRINK, CHEW EXTRA!
The brand identity of Extra gum varies considerably
in different markets, often having completely
different flavours, logos and slogans for each
country. Extra is currently the sponsor of the
Mexican national football team
What is their image? To maintain fresh breath and clean
teeth
Think about the colours they use? They use bright simple
colours
Are the adverts Serious? Funny? Cool? Cool
Who are the products aimed at? People at work that drink
coffee, people that go out for lunch people that don’t want
bad breath
Their product is advertised using an old
fashioned style print ad.
Their image is of a vintage woman led on a
bed holding a packet of their new chocolate
and mint gum, her eye has been replaced
with a mouth.
They have used brown, green and white
colours because they represent the flavours
of the gum. brown for chocolate, and green
and white for mint.
The advert is funny because her eye is a
mouth, i also think it is cool because of its
Vintage and old fashioned look.
The gum is aimed at people who like the taste
of it, or have bad breath.
