1) The study examined teaching efficacy among 340 primary and 520 secondary teachers in Hong Kong. It found primary teachers had lower overall and personal teaching efficacy than secondary teachers. 2) Teaching efficacy was negatively correlated with number of teaching staff and positively correlated with years of teaching experience and job ranking. Younger schools and schools with more staff had lower teaching efficacy scores. 3) The study concluded teaching efficacy varied according to school and teacher characteristics and implications included developing teachers' confidence, supporting professional communities, and considering school history in development plans.
