The document reports on an exploratory study of the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of junior faculty in medicine and allied departments in Uttarakhand, India regarding learning about neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). A survey found that while some faculty had used online sources like the WHO and Coursera to learn about NTDs, none were aware of learning opportunities from the Leprosy Mission India or the CDC's Global NTDs Program. The study concludes that special training programs, conferences, and certification courses on NTDs management are urgently needed from the Government of India and Uttarakhand to better educate faculty.

Overall results were poor with less than minimum knowledge on the topic BLS. A score of less than 50% was evident in the study indicating a poor knowledge of BLS among both the students and the faculty.The range of correct answers were 3-11 among students and 4-6 among the staffs. A significant difference (p<0.05) was observed between students and faculty members. Conclusion: Present study reports just 33.7 % participants had knowledge regarding BLS necessitates immediate attention of training of dental students and faculties regarding BLS.

From the perspective of activity theory, it can be argued that the major challenge in relation to implementing interprofessional education (IPE) could be embraced as contradictions that may lead to change. Patients have complex health needs and typically require insight from more than one discipline to address issues regarding their health status (Lumague et al. 2006). The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that institutions engaged in health professional education and training consider implementing IPE in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs (WHO, 2010). The purpose of this study was to identify the needs of IPECP for health care professionals, faculty members, and students. Methods: The survey instrument contained four scales to evaluate faculty attitudes toward IPE and teamwork, adapted from the methods of Curran et al. (2007). Each scale asked respondents to rate their attitudes toward statements on a 5-point Likert scale (1=strongly disagree; 2=disagree; 3=neutral; 4=agree; 5=strongly agree). The initial factor extractions were performed by means of principal components analysis. To define the model structure more clearly, an exploratory factor analysis using varimax rotation was conducted. The level of significance was p<.0001 for all tests. Results: As shown in Table 2, the Kaiser–Meyer-Olkin index was 0.902, indicating sampling adequacy, and the Bartlett Sphericity Chi-Square index was 2246.5 (p <0.0001). Cronbach’s alpha for the 14 items was 0.731, revealing a high rate of internal consistency. The modified Attitude toward health care team scores (ATHCTS) questionnaire was categorized into four factors: “Quality of care,” “Team efficiency,” “Patient-centered care,” and “Negative factors.” Conclusion: Findings suggest that the positive attitude of health care professionals, faculty members and students towards IPE indicates the need for IPE training by Azjargal Baatar, Sumberzul Nyamjav and Oyuntsetseg Sandag 2020. Abstract— Medical Council of India has laid down the norms and guidelines for integrated teaching to enhance the students approach for learning in a comprehensive manner. A comparative interventional study was carried out on II MBBS students of SMS medical College, Jaipur to compare the effect of traditional teaching and integrated teaching method. After taking pre-test students were divided into two groups, one group underwent traditional teaching and other group is given integrated teaching on Bronchial Asthma. Post-test was taken after finishing the topic. Mean change in score improved in both the group were compared by unpaiered “t’ Test. Perception of students and faculty about new method was also found out. It was found in this study that mean change of score of students from pre-test to post-test in the study group was significantly higher (p<0.001) than in control group (3.43±1.88 v/s 0.65±1.81). More than 90 % students liked and retained the subject better with the new teaching methodology only 9.3% felt it more time consuming. Majority of faculty had liked this method.

Objectives This current study was carried out to evaluate the level of physical activity PA among undergraduate students of faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya. Materials and methods This was a cross sectional study which was conducted at Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Data was collected through a self administered questionnaire International Physical Activity Questionnaire – Short Form IPAQ SF and total of 231 students responded. Prior to the data collection, informed written consent was taken from the students. Main outcome measures MET value Metabolic Equitant Results The mean total MET of the population indicated that of ‘moderate physical activity level’. Comparing four study years 4th year to 1st year , total MET level was gradually declining from 1st year to 4th year though there were no statistically significant relationship found. PA level was moderate in all the degree programs but the values were different. In relation to sex, males were predominant in all the MET categories. According to the BMI category, normal weighted students were presented with higher values for MET categories compared with others. Conclusion All the students of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya were moderately physically active with higher percentages of walking MET minutes week in all the variables. PA score is gradually declined from first year to final year. RAD students were more physically active among all five degree programs. Male students and normal weighted students had higher PA scores respectively for sex category and BMI category. A Cross Sectional Study of Musculoskeletal Problems Among Dentists in Pondich...QUESTJOURNAL
Purpose: This questionnaire based study was aimed at identifying common occupational hazards affecting dentists in Pondicherry which may help to make dentists aware and to take adequate precautions in their practice to prolong the service imparted to patients as well as improve the overall well being of the dental professionals The prevalence of work related musculoskeletal problems among dentists in Pondicherry was evaluated with this study. Methods: A pretested and validated questionnaire was used to collect details from practising dentists in Pondicherry .272 dentists responded to the questionnaire. Results: The data obtained was statistically analysed with SPSS Version 20 for calculating proportion and mean.84.9% (n=272) of respondents had some kind of musculoskeletal problem affecting different parts of the body.52.2% had low back pain and 50% had neck pain. Conclusion: The dental professionals are regularly exposed to various health hazards in their day to day practice. Chronic musculoskeletal disease is one of the common ailments affecting majority of dentists It is important for the dentists to be aware of the work related factors affecting their health and take adequate precautions or modifications in their working environment
Abstract—Sexual health (SH) and sexual behavior of young people have become a growing public concern. But few studies have been conducted to investigate the prevalence and psychosocial correlates of this phenomenon.
Purpose: To understand college students’ sexual knowledge (SK), sexual attitudes (SA), sexual desire (SD) and sexual behavior (SB).
Methods: A self-reported questionnaire survey on SK, SA, SD, and SB was conducted among 520 university students. Their demographic data, SK, SA, SD, and SB were assessed.
Results: A total of 500 students completed the questionnaire. The SKS total score had a mean of 23.05; 105 (21.0%) subjects had had premarital sex; 121 (24.2%) had a partner; 117 (23.4%) had a medical educational background. The results demonstrated an increased risk of premarital sex amongst males and subjects with the risk factors of smoking, drinking, having a partner, and having higher levels of SD and SK and more open SA.
Conclusions: This study provides support for the idea that university students lack SK (especially regarding contraception knowledge), even though the students had a medical educational background. Additionally, a considerable amount of them engaged in premarital SB. Our findings also suggest that university students need sex education, particularly in combining sexuality with their life, in relating to others maturely as a sexual individual, in employing contraception, and in preventing sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Our study suggests that interventions aimed at expanding university students’ SK and other related skills are required.

Introduction: This study aim to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and perception of undergraduate medical students about antibiotic stewardship. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted among the medical students of Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Nepal from both basic (first two years) and clinical sciences (third year onwards). Materials and Methods: Responses were scored to assess the knowledge level of the students, their attitude and perception towards antibiotic stewardship and resistance. Results: In this study, 231 out of 450 undergraduate medical students (response rate=51.33%) took part. The mean knowledge, attitude and perception scores of the respondents were 2.41±1.103, 5.69±0.917, and 13.10±1.328 respectively. Though their overall attitude [223 (96.5%)] and perception [230 (99.6%)] towards antibiotic stewardship and resistance were good, their knowledge level seemed unsatisfactory [105 (45.5%)]. Statistically significant difference in the scores between basic science and clinical science students (P<0.001) was seen. Discussion: More than half the medical students’ knowledge about antimicrobial stewardship and resistance was inadequate. A perceivable difference between scores of basic and clinical science students was observed, suggesting that the knowledge, attitude, and perception of basic science students get better as they enter clinical phase. Conclusion: Suitable interventions to address the lag in curriculum should be planned right from basic science level to further strengthen their knowledge regarding antibiotic stewardship and resistance.

5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

Uttarakhand India were explored by Online Questionnaire on
their Knowledge , Attitude & Practice on NTDs learning after
their Degree or Diploma in Month of Jan 2023 for 15 days(1st -

• Open WHO is Explored for Learning on NTDs by Profs(20%) and
SRs (30%), Asst Profs have used Coursera(50%) and no
body(100%) knew that NTDs learning courses from Leprosy
Mission India. No body knew about Global NTDs Programme of
CDC.
5. Discussion & conclusion:
• Our Study reveals an urgent action required in the form of
Special Training Programmes, Conferences, CMEs, and
Certificate courses by Government of India & Uttarakhand for
sensitizing Junior as well as Senior Faculties on NTDs
Management.
