 The purpose of the firm's policy is vigorous development and
integration of renewable energies in the energy market of Israel
in order to advance the country toward energy independence
and security and to strengthen integration in environmentally
sensitive culture. These objectives will be achieved by
leveraging advancements in industry and technology
development in parallel Israeli and livelihoods, especially in the
periphery 1.

The heart of the development of photovoltaic private
industry market in Israel and its neighbors will be
reflected in the way we produce, distribute and
consume energy
 Renewable energy sources in 2012 accounted for only 5% of primary energy
consumption in Israel, where the main energy source is utilized mainly solar
water heaters.
 For power generation renewable energy contributing only about half a percent,
which is the lowest rate in the world. In contrast, the supply of solar heating
contributes approximately 39%, which is the highest rate in the world. As of
2012, still about 95% - Israel's primary energy supply comes largely imported
fossil fuels.
The market PV world grew by more than 40% a year in recent years and turns
valuable contribution for electricity generation.
 Energy PV is important because of the nature decentralized / centralized,
flexible use of the urban environment and there is a huge potential to lower
costs.
 Industrial photovoltaic exploiting the potential of a more and more in recent
years, with the most downloaded installation prices in half in recent years.
 Existing developments focused on improving existing modules and system
components by improving energy efficiency and reduced use of materials.

An advanced system for hybrid solar (PV-T)) produces simultaneously
electricity (photovoltaic) and hot water (solar thermal) for homes and
buildings combines photovoltaic panel with a heat exchanger on the

2in 1 integrated system to produce
electricity + hot water
 The hybrid system provides hot water and electricity, and is a nice solution
for private homes, new construction, government offices, schools, new PV
installations, or to existing PV.
 The solar panels capture the wasted heat of the solar panels and turn up
the heat in their water and electricity for a private home.
 This hybrid solution provides incredible 60-70% of solar energy compared
to 15-20% with a PV system, which means watt manufacturing cost is cut
in half as a result of "heat extraction“ of the PV cells and converting them
into electricity.
 Solar systems hidden under the PV panels and requires no additional roof
space, as opposed to separate solar thermal systems.

degradation in performance as they get hotter.

This can reduce efficiency
by as much as 43% on a hot day
or 0.5% for every 1°C temperature
rise. Standard PV Panels typically
only convert 10-15% of solar

is dissipated as waste heat.

For Roofs Integration
 Roof integrated mounting option allows highest- flexibility to choose between landscape
and portrait orientation and to arrange the respective PV-T modules according to your own
preferences. The advantages of this method of installation include perfect integration of
panels so they lie particularly flat on the roof, and the very slender appearance of the system.
While aesthetic considerations take precedence, the performance of the cells will never be
a problem.

The PV-T panels can be used in conjunction with other
technologies to further enhance energy efficiency if
desired. Examples are:
 Geothermal Heat Storage: Excess heat produced by the PV-T panels can be
stored in the ground for use at a later time => summer heat can be used into the
winter to maximize energy use.
 Battery Storage System: Can be used to create an off-grid system => excess
electricity generated during daytime can be stored and used at night.
 Fuel Cell Storage:
Excess electricity from daytime can be used to generate hydrogen for use in a fuel
cell system at night.

used for the building with excess heat being vented through a 30 kW fan assisted heat dump.

electricity on the roof of the Federal Building
in Boston
Boston, MA – The U.S. General Services Administration has committed itself to
sustainability at an Earth Day event held today at the Thomas P. O’Neill, Jr. Federal
Building.
This solar energy system is designed to produce electricity and hot water through the use
of an innovative photovoltaic-thermal hybrid technology that combines a solar panel and
thermal collector into a single module. The installed array of hybrid modules will produce
approximately 30,000 watts of electricity and 69,000 watts of thermal energy to heat
water. The reduction in greenhouse gas emissions associated with this project is
estimated to be approximately 64,904 pounds of carbon dioxide, equivalent to the work of
4,993 mature trees. The system is the largest rooftop hybrid solar installation in the U.S
and is also the first installation of photovoltaic-thermal hybrid solar technology on a federal
or commercial building.
