Why fruits are good for health?
1. Fruits build our immunity
Fruits are loaded with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, which are
essential for our body and they also strengthen our immunity towards diseases.
2. Fruits keep our weight in check
Another reason why fruits are good for health are that they are very low in
calories and are beneficial for those who want to lose weight.
3. Fruits perk up body's energy level
When we include fruits in our daily diet, we feel more active as well as more
energized. As fruits contain natural sugars, our energy level gets boosted thus
making us more active.
TOP 7 EXOTIC FRUITS
1. African Cucumber
The African cucumber – or horned
melon, as it is also known – is perhaps
one of the world’s most beautiful
fruits. Its flavor has been compared to
cucumbers and zucchinis but also
bananas and lemons. They grow in
California, Chile, Australia and New
Zeeland.
2. Buddha's Hand
This fruit is actually part of the citron family. Its "fingers" can be segmented
for consumption. Buddha's hand is native to Northeast India and China.
3. Cucamelon
Cucamelon are native to Mexico and Central America. They taste like sour
cucumbers but look like miniature watermelons. They grow on vines and are
about the size of grapes.
4. Jackfruit
The jackfruit is the largest fruit in the
world. It's amazing that these fruits grow
on trees considering they can weigh up
to 80 pounds each. They are often
compared to bananas, but with a tarter
flavor. Jackfruits are used for cooking in
Asian cuisines and are also eaten raw.
5. Rambutan
Native to the Malay
Archipelago, the name of this
fruit is derived from the
Malay word meaning “hairy“.
But once the hairy exterior of
the rambutan is peeled away,
the tender, fleshy, delicious
fruit is revealed. Its taste is
described as sweet and sour,
much like a grape.
6. Rose Apples
Rose apples are bell-shaped fruits that can be
eaten much like regular apples. They are crispy
and crunchy, like your typical apple, but they taste
and smell like roses. The fruits spoil quickly so
they are not typically sold in supermarkets.
7. Starfruit
The Starfruit, or carambola,
is especially fun to serve
because its slices are star-
shaped. It has been compared
to apples, citrus fruits and
plums.
The fruit has a waxy skin and
can be eaten unripe for a
tarter flavor or ripe for a
sweet and sour taste.
Conclusions
