Exodus 37-39 tells all the things that were built for the Tabernacle and Courtyard of the Tabernacle. We are not going to study this, but we do want to look at the last two verses of chapter 39 and parts of chapter 40.
Exodus 39 42 According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work. 43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them. These people whom the Lord had called stiff-necked, because of their stubborn disobedience, Have finally done something right .
They did all the work, and did it exactly as the Lord had commanded. They will sin again in the future, and they will suffer the consequences , But right now , in this place, at this time, The Lord is pleased with them.
To please the Lord requires no deep thinking on our part. Just do what He tells us to do. Romans 8 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Matthew 4 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Did Jesus know why the Holy Spirit was leading Him into the wilderness? Probably not . Would He have chosen to go and be tempted by the devil? Probably not . But Jesus had to be tempted as we are , so that He could understand our weaknesses, and be our great High Priest .
We won't always understand why God teaches us to do certain things, or to avoid certain things. We won't always see the good that will come from doing what God says do , And we won't always see the harm that will come from doing what God forbids.
There is pleasure in sin for a season; that's how the devil baits the trap. But the end of sin is destruction. John 10 10 The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His Life for the sheep.
A life of sin is a life of bondage. Sin enslaves people; we call it addiction.
A life lived with God is a life blessed with love , joy , peace , and patience . We live a gentle and good life when we believe God enough to be faithful and true. When we meekly submit ourselves to God's Word and to the Power of God's Holy Spirit, We will be able to live a life of godly moderation , free from the destructive power of sin.
We don't have to understand why ; We don't have to know the full path. Just do what we know to do Trusting God to show us more day by day.
The first step of a life with God is to be born again : Born of the Spirit of God into the Family of God. Romans 10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
John 3 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. Then simply live a life obedient to Scripture.
Romans 6 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? We choose our master; we do not have to be enslaved to sin. We can be delivered from the power of sin through Jesus Christ, When we accept Him as Savior and Lord.
Believe with all your heart in the God of the Bible , Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Believe that God gave His Son, Jesus Christ to die for your sins and raise Him up. Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Ask God to save you from sin and from hell, in the Name of Jesus . Confess Jesus as Lord of your life.
Just as the Israelites did all the work, and did it exactly as the Lord had commanded. And God blessed them with His Presence. When we give our lives unto God, and live according to His Word, He will be forever in us and with us , in good times and bad , To bless us and care for us.
