This needs assessment was conducted by Investing in Girls to understand the needs of middle school girls in Worcester, MA. Over 450 people participated, including 222 girls, 58 parents and 56 providers. Five key challenges were identified: health, sexual health, violence/safety, relationships, and education. Gaps in resources and supports for girls and their advocates were also examined. The needs assessment calls for new programs, services, and a collaborative alliance to address gaps, advocate for girls' needs, and ensure the community meets the unique needs of local girls.
