Executive Order 13653 directs federal agencies to take steps to help communities strengthen resilience to extreme weather and prepare for climate change impacts. It establishes an interagency Council and Task Force to coordinate efforts across 30+ agencies to integrate climate science into policies and planning, support regional resilience actions, and recommend tools and information for state and local governments.
