Difference between Mentoring and Coaching
› Mentoring is typically done by a superior, manager, or boss on an informal and as
needed basis. Coaching is done by a professional outside of the company with no
authority over the Client, is a formal relationship and uses a semi-structured format
› Mentoring does not require you to set specific goals and measurable results, but in
coaching you do

Difference between Consulting and Coaching

What I am Good at ?
I am a senior internationally proven software industry executive with over 27 years of extensive experience in Executive Management,
Software Product Delivery, Setting Up Delivery Center and People Management. In my previous role, I was working as Country Head andSoftware Product Delivery, Setting Up Delivery Center and People Management. In my previous role, I was working as Country Head and
Director of a FinTech MNC, and was responsible for the delivery functions for three core products in Wealth Management (including Life
Insurance) and Fund Administration.
I have exposure of representing the country Office in Board Meetings, delivering performance metrics, operational excellence highlights, the
Governance Scorecard and details of business challenges.
I have worked in multiple product companies / business units for around 12 years mainly in BFSI segment that has given my good
understanding of product delivery lifecycle and working experience of setting up product development, maintenance, testing and support
teams.
I have also been instrumental in setting up new business units / delivery centre and scaling them. I have established a new Global in-house
Center in Gurgaon, India that included office setup and transitioning 30 employees that we expanded to 300 employees in 6 years.

What does World NEED ?
After professional corporate career of 2 decades, I started interacting closely with young entrepreneurs and realized there was so
much to learn from them and also so much value-add I could provide in their journey to success. It was inspiring to meet young
people and watch the passion in their eyes, eagerness to take fast decisions, willingness to adapt and learn, usage of social media
to be always connected, etc. I started mentoring around 10 entrepreneurs that I met in NASSCOM / TIE events and at Innov8 co-
working space for about 2 years. So, now I know What World needs from me?
What I LOVE to do?
Meanwhile, I had a good fortune of being exposed to world of Coaching as I was assigned an Executive Coach for 6 months in my
company - it was a turning point in my life as I discovered a lot about myself, my capabilities, my fears, my passion all came in
front of me. I was more confident and self assured. I decided to learn more about coaching and did a certification course in
coaching. Then I started practicing with some young entrepreneurs and realized that it was adding great value to them and wascoaching. Then I started practicing with some young entrepreneurs and realized that it was adding great value to them and was
giving me mental fulfilment of seeing someone walking with more clarity and confidence to face the world. It was becoming clear
to me that I had found answer to a long lasting question - what do I love to do?
