In the novella Down the Rabbit Hole by Pablo Juan Villalobos, the story revolves
around the concept of innocence. What makes this novella different from other
literature that discuss innocence is that the main character Tochtli does not actual
move from innocence to experience but rather stays innocent but as the audience
reads on they figure out that tochtli has moved further and further away from pure
innocence. In the beginning of the novella in the short notes ahead innocence is
explained in the context of the novella as being incomprehension. This is a theme
that is revealed throughout the entirety of the novella. The novella Down the rabbit
hole sets the scene inside a palace of a later understood drug lord, who is the father
of tochtli, the main character. Tochtli is only seven and therefor does not have an
exact grip on what is happening around him. Juan pablo Villalobos however reveals
information in such a way that the truthescapes the innocent mind of tochtli but
screams out to the readers.

In the selection from Kierkegaard s Fear and Trembling, explain the aesthetic man,
ethical man, and knight of faith. How does this do each of these people figure into
Kierkegaard s argument for taking a leap of faith ? Using Kierkegaard s argument,
explain whether or not the story of Abraham is describes a meaningful life.
Kierkegaard s ideas on the meaning of life are conveyed in his writings of Fear and
Trembling. In the selection, Kierkegaard speaks of three different types of people
in three different stages of life. The aesthetic man, the ethical man, and the knight of
faith. Each man, having a different meaning in life during each stage, eventually
reaching the ultimate meaning of life. In the following, I will explain how each of
these men fit into Kierkegaard s argument for taking a leap of faith , as well as
explain Why Abraham s life is a meaningful life based off of Kierkegaard s argument.
Kierkegaard believes there are three stages in life, The aesthetic, The ethical, and
the religious. He also believes that one cannot reach the next stage in succession
until he has negated everything in the previous stage of life. The first stage is the
aesthetic stage in life. A man living life through aesthetics is known as the
aesthetic man. The aesthetic man seeks pleasures for himself. He only engages in
things that bring him pleasure. At this moment in his life, morals do not matter.
They are not used as guidelines on how to live life. They are completely ignored.
At this stage in life, man s meaning is to heighten all individual pleasures. The
Aesthetic man can be all different ages. He can be the 18 year old leaving his
parents home, ignoring all of the morals his parents tried to enforce on him. The
18 year old now has ultimate freedom and can do whatever he please, or pleases
him [ as he only seeks things and activities that will bring happiness and pleasure].
The aesthetic level can be the level one is born into automatically. If we raise up a
child without sharing any moral ideas with the child, he will most likely indulge in

technologies, the ROTC Cyber Research program provides cadets with opportunities
to research and solve real world problems in cyber security and cyber counter
terrorism.
This first year pilot program research effort focused on the design and deployment of
a covert communications network that can operate at the enemy s operational base
and gather intelligence on enemy communications and activities. This effort is in

Godard uses framing and sound in conjunction to switch between offscreen and
onscreen diegetic sounds. Starting with the beginning of the first shot, the
incredibly loud knock on the door (offscreen diegetic) and Uncle Jean yelling,
Where am I? (onscreen diegetic) as he moves from the right of the frame to the
center. The image size of the first scene is a medium long shot as I noticed that
only the knees and up are shown. I then hear two offscreen diegetic sounds of a
woman laughing with her high heels walking towards the frame. As the woman
finally walks into the frame and identifies herself as Carmen she bends down and
kisses the man. Carmen then kisses (onscreen diegetic) Uncle Jean, the sound of the
kiss is also noticeably loud.
Carmen begins to walk out of frame and when she is out of frame, the non diegetic
score kicks in and then fades away for a brief moment to let Carmen and Uncle Jean

Use of Non Lethal Weapons by Law Enforcement.
The use of less lethal force by law enforcement personnel started in the 1960s during
the civil rights and anti war movements (Wilson 218). These movements assisted tin
creating situations in which large groups of people were coming into contact with
law enforcement. Given the emotional status to these situations, violent encounters
started becoming more widespread. As such, less lethal methods of crowd/riot control
became the focus for law enforcement. At the time, chemical agents/irritants were the
most frequently used method to control riots. Other less than lethal weapons, but not
limited to are, wooden, rubber, and bean bag bullets/rounds, were also being
introduced, but given restrictions on law enforcement budgets, these suffered from
the lack of testing before being used.
However, the term non lethal is and has been used by most manufacturers to describe
these types of weapons. It is significant to distinguish that the term less lethal is more
suitable, as there has been an unknown number of unreported and reported deaths
following the use of these weapons. Although the less lethal options offer a safer
substitute to the traditional use of force, it would be hard to create any weapon as
less then lethal under all situations, given the many different situations that these
methods may be used in.
