This document provides an overview of a school district's rollout of Chromebooks for students. It discusses: 1. The history of 1:1 computing in the district and timeline for rolling out Chromebooks to freshmen and sophomores. 2. How Chromebooks were prepared for students, including setting them up, training "tech geniuses" to support other students, and creating online resources for parents and students. 3. Ways Chromebooks integrate with Google Apps for Education and are being used in classes, including for flipped learning, formative assessments, and accessing digital textbooks. 4. •Chromebooks do not fully replace laptops.
